Snapshots from the Harbinger by Jonathon Cahn

Jonathon Cahn’s book the Harbinger is a great read, and I highly recommend it.  I want to touch on a few excerpts from his book. Starting with pg. 221 “Things to Come.”  “The smiles of Heaven cannot remain on a nation that disregards the ways of God.  If America turns away from God, its blessings will likewise be removed and replaced with judgment. Not if America turns away from God, it’s already turning.  If you’ve read the book you learned that Washington prayed in a chapel on ground Zero and consecrated America to God.  King Solomon also had a message for us.  in 2 Chrinicles, chpt 7:14  “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  He goes on to say:  ” It’s the call of God to a nation once dedicated to His purposes but now falling away from His will.  It’s the call of God to return.  The call of repentance if for the righteous and unrighteous, the godly and ungodly alike.  If the righteous had been the lights they were called to be, the nation would never have fallen as it did.”  This he say’s applies not only to ancient Israel but to America today, and I agree.  We have not let our light shine,  we have not spoken out against the evil’s that are creeping into our land today.   He goes on:  “America was founded on prayer.  Therefore the removal of prayer from its public life was a central part of its fall from God.  A nation that turns away from prayer will ultimately find itself in desperate need of it.  (emphasis here, mine) The calamity returned America to the ground of its consecration-the nation was being called to return to God to prayer.”   One of the last things he tells is what we need to repent from and he’s spot on!:  ” From their apathy, from their complacency…their compromises with darkness…their omissions…their serving of other gods…their sins committed in secret…their withholding of life..and their failure to fulfill their call.”  He ends with this:  “So, then take up your trumpet, set it to your mouth and blow, let the sound of the watchman be heard in the city, Let the call of redemption cover the land, Let the word go forth and have its way.  And let those who have ears to hear it… Let them hear it, and be saved.”  Amazing!  How many more times do we need to be taken to the ground we consecrated to God! (New York)  I for one am asking for forgivness for my apathy, and silence, I’m putting on the Armor of God, and taking a stand, and standing firm.  Will you?  Do you have ears to hear the call to be saved?  Shout it from the rooftops, I don’t know how many more chances America will have to turn to God. Let’s blow our trumpets as watchmen, and warn!
