Isaiah 10:12-13,24, “When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say, ‘I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes. For he says: ‘By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their kings” … Therefore, this is what the Lord, the LORD Almighty, says: ‘O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians, who beat you with a rod and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did. I Am Not Ashamed Of The Gospel Of Christ! 
That is a pertinent prophecy, unfortunately our leaders just keep right on announcing the pride, and arrogance in their hearts. They just don’t get it. If they continue on this path, judgements on us will just keep on coming.

Think on this prophecy:
Isaiah 9:
10) “The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”
11) But the LORD raises the adversaries of Rezin against him, and stirs up his enemies.
12) The Syrians on the east and the Philistines (Gaza?) on the west devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
