As I decorate, and I think about Christmas, my mind goes back to my Mother and Father. My Father is still here, but my Mother is looking down from Heaven. As kids we anxiously awaited Santa in my grandma’s basement, while my Father stomped on the floor upstairs, saying HO, Ho, Ho. Really. 🙂 But we couldn’t open our presents until my Father read the story of Jesus’s birth from the Bible. I will never forget that! I tried to pass this custom on to my children, I hope they are continuing it with my grandchildren. But my mind wanders from this to unanswered prayers. My Mother prayed non-stop for about 30 years for me to come back to God. I’m sure there were alot of times she wanted to give up! My Father also prayed for me and still does. His prayers are what sustains me now. Anyway, I learned a lesson from this as I pray for my children and grandchildren. NEVER give up! It took 30 years for my Mother’s prayers for me to be answered, and sadly she went to Heaven before her prayer’s for me were realized. I’m quite sure though, that God has told her all about it! So NEVER give up on your prayer’s for God’s timing is not our’s.

Amen! Praying for all to see, but it breaks my heart the amount of those with blinders on. Your right time is short.
