When Horrible things happen where do you turn

As we all watch the events of this morning unfold, we’re shocked, grieving, and distraught. We can’t even in our wildest imaginations understand what would make a person slaughter anyone, let alone innocent children. This morning, a young man killed his parents, and a whole class (20) of kindergarten children. They will say he was mentally unstable, they will say that having access to guns did it. They will hash and re-hash blaming everything and everyone, they’ll even blame the shooters parents and grandparents, by they I mean the media. The left will use this crisis to meet their agenda of gun control, blaming republicans for everything from this to the fiscal cliff. Yes they will use this crisis in any way they can. We have pushed God so far out of our country that is shameful. Then at times like this we wonder why he let this happen. God did not cause this. God will help comfort and sort it all out, but He did not cause this.

The families of these victims, need our prayers and our support. God is the only one that can give peace and understanding. Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” We also know from the Bible that Satan is prowling the earth looking for whom he may devour. If you don’t believe in Satan, than you are sadly lost. Satan is very real. So are his demons. Satan has tried from the beginning of time to destroy everything that was precious to God.

Jesus, said “Suffer the little children to come unto me.” He made it very clear, that children are precious in His eyes. He also said, that whoever hurts one of these little ones, it would be better for him to have a millstone tied around his neck and thrown into the deepest part of the ocean. So we know what the shooter is experiencing right now.

I fear we are just beginning to see these horrendous acts. I fear as Satan ramps up we will see more and more behavior like this. The Bible say’s in the end days perilous times will come.

Let’s pray for the families of these victims, for God to send His Holy Spirit to comfort them, and give them peace and understanding. These children are in Jesus’s arm’s right now, so let’s pray that the families will receive comfort.
