“I just can’t believe how far we are falling, away from God, away from Morality, it sickens me. I know in 2Timothy chapter 3, Paul tells us about Godlessness in the last day’s “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (and even describes the church’s of today) Having a form of godliness but denying its power.” Paul warns “Have nothing to do with them.” so why do we continue to ignore the warnings of the apostles, and God’s word?
I was sickened the last few days, watching reports surface of what Kathy Griffin did in front of millions of people on new years eve, to what a sport’s commentator did in a recent football game. What sickens me the most is how the media is reacting to this, and how Christians are silent.
Well some Christians are speaking out as the following excerpt shows. Bill Donahue is the president of and CEO of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, the nations’ largest Catholic civil rights organization.
Bill Donahue : Perhaps the biggest story related to Kathy Griffin’s salacious stunt on CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper was the almost deadening silence it engendered from any quarter.
Aside from Newsbusters and the Parents Television Council (thank God for Brent Bozell), and a story in the Baltimore Sun and the New York Daily News, there wasn’t much in the way of criticism (predictably, Perez Hilton took offense at the Parents Television Council for having the audacity to call out Griffin).
Does it matter what Griffin did? To put it more generally, does what we see and hear have any effect on our behavior, particularly the behavior of young people?
Hollywood obviously thinks that what we see and hear matters, otherwise it wouldn’t intentionally ban actors from smoking on television. The movies are no different. There are, of course, a few exceptions. But those exceptions do not go unanswered.
Remember when Julia Roberts smoked incessantly in “My Best Friend’s Wedding”? Hillary Clinton went ballistic. Now anyone is free to disagree with Clinton’s reaction, but no one can maintain that her concern was baseless. She wants to see less smoking on the screen so fewer people will be induced to smoke.

“But just look at how far we’ve come. I mean really, our children are being taught that this kind of behavior is acceptable!
God has been trying to warn us, but we remain complacent. Accepting the degradation of our society. We continue to push God out of our lives, replacing it with moral decay.
I hate to sound like my parents and grandparents but the video games of today, and the music and the movies are just horrible! Since when is it ok to glamorize murder, mayhem and killing police? That’s exactly what today’s music, and video games do!
The movies introduce Satanic things into our homes and our children’s minds. Oh yes they do, just watch all the vampire and zombie movies out there. But yet the churchs won’t preach about God’s wrath or Revelations because it’s tooooo Scary? Give me a break. I don’t know how to wake up the luke warm, lazy church. But if they don’t begin to wake up and get back to the Father’s business God will wake them up. He is lifting his hand of protection from us, wake up!
Time is short and it’s getting shorter by the minute! He’s Coming, He’s Close, Can You Feel Him? Are you awake or Asleep?
There’s a reason for Jesus’s teachings in Mathew 24:40-42 “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill;one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” Do you think these are just stories in the Bible? Wake up. I never understood this much, until recently. This is exactly for us today. Some Christians are awake, and watching for our Lord to return and some are asleep. You had better wake up! No one know’s the hour or the day of our Lord’s return, but we sure know the season, and it is now! I urge you to pay attention! God Bless and guide you into truth and Knowledge.

Yes, Christ commanded Love in his teachings. But He also warned of the coming wrath of God. In Luke 21:35 He say’s ” For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” If you don’t have a balance between Love and wrath, then Christ’s death on the cross was meaningless. Why would he have to die for the atonement of our sins, if there was no wrath associated with God’s grace? God does not want anyone to perish, hence John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. 18. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” It’s pretty clear, accept God’s love through His Son, or accept His condemnation. I have to constantly pray for that balance in my life, but I have been given a chance to warn people of the coming wrath of God, and I will shout it from the rooftops. It’s like this, if you knew without a doubt that there was a tornado heading straight for your friends house, and you knew without a doubt this tornado would take your friends life, would you scream it at them or would you just say something like: I don’t know, but there might be a little storm coming your way, just wanted to let you know? I think you and I would take the screaming approach. Anyway, thanks for your support, prayers and comments. It’s not easy being a watchman.

I can understand your point, because, especially child abuse is sickening …Altho I think it is easy to preach about wrath….I’ve seen it time and time and time again since I can remember (70’s) churches telling people to repent or else. Yet most of those “repentances” don’t last cause they are just doing it out of fear…which is not good ground to plant seed. This is why tent revivals are not as prevelant, and because what we need to do is get our hands dirty and our lives be examples and living witnesses of His power and love…but this is the hardest thing so we don’t want to do it. The thing that comes closest to Christ’s command…which isn’t to preach wrath…but to love our neighbor as ourselves people don’t want to do. Sinners, just like you and I were at one time, need to hear and see in others the good news that Christ came to save sinners. Christians don’t want to obey Christ’s command because the flesh would rather do the things it is much more comfortable with, like be angry and self-righteous.
My 2c….thank you CJ for all your hard work!!
