Are We Worshiping The Ancient God’s Of Babylon? Can We Know? Can We Know What The Anti-Christ Represents? Can We Know If He Is Alive Now?

YES TO ALL OF THE ABOVE!
“As I was studying my Bible this morning, and researching Great Preachers of the past, I was prompted to Isaiah 45 verse 22 ‘Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.’  That sunk in pretty deep.  As I was about to close my Bible, it’s as if God said wait, your not done yet.  And I looked and the next chapter poked way out at me.  It was titled ‘God’s of Babylon’.  Now I don’t know about you, but I’ve learned when God show’s me a passage, in that manner, I’m to pay attention.  As I read through that chapter I couldn’t help but see that God truly is calling us back to Him.  We have strayed very far from His word.  This is not meant to be an exhaustive study on Babylon, but we are suppose to pay attention to this, it even mentions in Revelations that the god’s of Babylon will make a huge comeback with the beast of mystery Babylon in Revelation chapter 17.  So let’s look at what Isaiah has to say.”

Isaiah Chapter 46

God’s Of Babylon

46 Bel bows down, Nebo stoops low;
their idols are borne by beasts of burden.[a]
The images that are carried about are burdensome,
a burden for the weary.
2 They stoop and bow down together;
unable to rescue the burden,
they themselves go off into captivity.

3 “Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob,
all the remnant of the people of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since your birth,
and have carried since you were born.
4 Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

5 “With whom will you compare me or count me equal?
To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?
6 Some pour out gold from their bags
and weigh out silver on the scales;
they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god,
and they bow down and worship it.
7 They lift it to their shoulders and carry it;
they set it up in its place, and there it stands.
From that spot it cannot move.
Even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer;
it cannot save them from their troubles.

8 “Remember this, keep it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.
12 Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted,
you who are now far from my righteousness.
13 I am bringing my righteousness near,
it is not far away;
and my salvation will not be delayed.
I will grant salvation to Zion,
my splendor to Israel.

“Ok first let’s look at Bel, also known as Ba‘al, and Belial.  The Greeks were as firmly convinced as many modern Bible-readers that the Semites, or the Orientals generally, worshipped a god called Baal or Bel, the truth of course being that ba’al is a Semitic word for lord or master, and so applies to a multitude of gods. This “Bel,” then, being an important deity, must be the sun, the more so as some of the gods bearing that title may have been really solar.

“Baʿal” can refer to any god and even to human officials. In some texts it is used for Hadad, a god of the rain, thunder, fertility and agriculture, and thelord of Heaven. Since only priests were allowed to utter his divine name, Hadad, Ba‛al was commonly used. Nevertheless, few if any Biblical uses of “Baʿal” refer to Hadad, the lord over the assembly of gods on the holy mount of Heaven, but rather refer to any number of local spirit-deities worshipped as cult images, each called baʿal and regarded in the Hebrew Bible in that context as a “false god“.

In the Hebrew text the phrase is either “sons of Belial” or simply “sons of worthlessness.”[3][4] However “sons of” phrases are a common semitic idiom such as “sons of destruction” “sons of lawlessness”

The War of the Sons of Light Against the Sons of Darkness,[19] one of the Dead Sea scrolls, Belial is the leader of the Sons of Darkness:

But for corruption thou hast made Belial, an angel of hostility. All his dominions are in darkness, and his purpose is to bring about wickedness and guilt. All the spirits that are associated with him are but angels of destruction.

In the Rules of the Community God is found making a very prolific statement, “I shall not comfort the oppressed until their path is perfect. I shall not retain Belial within my heart.”

The War Scroll and the Thanksgiving hymns both delve into the idea that Belial is accursed by God and his people, and shows how the existence of Belial in this world can be attributed to the mysteries of God since we can not know why he permits the dealings of Belial to persist.

In the Dead Sea Scrolls Belial is further contrasted with God. These are the Angel of Light and the Angel of Darkness. The Manual of Discipline identifies the Angel of Light as God himself. The Angel of Darkness is identified in the same scroll as Belial.

Also in The Dead Sea Scrolls is a recounting of a dream of Amram, the father of Moses, who finds two ‘watchers’ contesting over him. One is Belial who is described as the King of Evil and Prince of Darkness. Belial is also mentioned in the Fragments of a Zadokite Work (which is also known as The Damascus Document (CD)), which states that during the eschatological age, “Belial shall be let loose against Israel, as God spoke through Isaiah the prophet.”[20] The Fragments also speak of “three nets of Belial” which are said to be fornication, wealth, and pollution of the sanctuary.[21] In this work, Belial is sometimes presented as an agent of divine punishment and sometimes as a rebel, as Mastema is. It was Belial who inspired the Egyptian sorcerers, Jochaneh and his brother, to oppose Moses and Aaron. The Fragments also say that anyone who is ruled by the spirits of Belial and speaks of rebellion should be condemned as a necromancer and wizard.

In The Ascension of Isaiah Belial is the angel of lawlessness and “the ruler of this world.”

“Ok, there you have it, Belial is the angel of lawlessness.  And our coming Anti-christ.  As Paul points out in 2Thessalonians verse 3: ‘Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.’  Couldn’t be more plain.  Now look at the above again, the fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls speak of ‘the three nets of Belial’ which are Fornication, wealth, and pollution of the sanctuary.  Well I think it’s safe to say we have those 3 nets present in great numbers in our society today.  You might say, the pollution of the sanctuary has not happened.  But it depends on which way you look at it.  Paul again tells us in 1 Cor. 6 18-19  ‘Flee from sexual immorality.  All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.  Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own, 20. you were bought a a price.  Therefore honor God with your body.’  So I don’t even think the best of twisters could twist this.  Our Bodies are a living Temple of God.  So how come there is so much sexual immorality in the body of Christ?  You may say ‘Oh I’m not doing that.’ But are you remaining silent while abortion, and gay marriage is being advocated?  If you are than the sin of  Omission is just as bad as the sin of Commission.  There is so much of this in our world and nation today, there is greed, and fornication also.    There is an ever growing number of people who are forsaking marriage to live together.  And also as we know from scriptures this word fornication also applies to religious beliefs.  Revelation chapter 17 tells us of the woman on the beast titled Mystery Babylon and it says this in verse 2.  ‘With her the Kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.’   There are other mentions of this in the Old Testament too, but this is pretty clear.

“So this gives us a pretty clear picture, that we as a nation are indeed worshiping the god’s of Babylon.  Our leaders are taking us down the path to destruction.  And we can see a very clear picture of what the future holds and what the Anti-christ will look like.  So we as Christians need to come together now more than ever, and pray, pray for us as individuals and pray for us a nation.  A nation that was born to be a shining city on the Hill for the world to see.  God is not happy with us, it’s very evident in what is happening to our country and leaders.  The Anti-Christ is revealing himself to us more everyday.  Christ is returning for His Church very soon.  Will He find us going about His business or will He find us asleep while the spirit of the god’s of Babylon run away with our Faith?  Pray, Pray, Pray, and ready yourselves, and others.  Pray that you will be able to stand before the son of man.  We have been warned and called to repentance.
