First let me tell you about what Paul say’s about leaders than I’ll tell you what the Bible say’s we as Christians are to do.
Romans Chapter 13:1-7
Submission to Governing Authorities
13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Ok, pay close attention to what Paul say’s about the one in in charge, being ‘God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. He’s telling us not to rebel against our leaders. Remember in Paul’s time, there were many rebellions against the government and all ended in death. That’s one of the reason’s that the Romans went along with the crucifixion of Jesus, they thought he was a leader that if killed would squash the uprisings against the Roman Empire, at least that’s what the Jewish leaders of the time portrayed to the Roman Authorities. And the killings of the Christians were at an all time high during Paul’s life. So he tells us that in order for things to go well for us, we should pay taxes, submit to authority without rebellious uprisings. He didn’t say for us not to warn about following and bowing down to these evil leaders, we learned that from Daniel, Meshach , Abindego, and Shadrach.
We are living in dangerous, perilous times. Christians are being persecuted at an all time rate. We are in a period of Prophetic fulfillment. The One World Government, and religion is forming very fast. The beast in Revelation is already out of the sea. Well you get the picture.
First and foremost, we have to turn back to God. We have to heed His call of repentance, and ask for mercy. The Bible say’s we are not appointed to wrath. We have assurances from God that through Jesus we will have eternal life.
We can learn from Israel’s blessings and judgements from God, from the Old Testament.
Isaiah 26:20-21
“Go my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until His wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of His dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer.”
So secondly we need to pray, pray, pray for the unbelievers, to come to the One True God, and then in the above we’re told to take shelter until God’s wrath has passed. He will protect us. We are about to see the gates of Hell opened upon the World. We are about to see things that our minds can not even begin to understand. We are about to see things that even movies can’t prepare you for. So take shelter in the Lord, let Him wrap His arm’s around you and offer protection. But be prepared for what you are about to witness. Jesus said it will be tribulation like never before seen or will be seen again. Picture all the wars in History put together, and you still won’t have a picture of what’s coming! But this too shall pass, Peace is coming, the King of King’s is coming, The Lion of The Tribe of Judah is coming! Ready yourself spiritually. And don’t put it off, because Jesus said “Behold I come like a thief in the Night!” Remember there is hope, so quietly go about your business, loudly proclaim the gospel to “snatch others from the fire.” Loudly proclaim repentance, And hide away in the comfort of God’s bosom until it passes.
Revelation 22:20-21
“Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.
