“I know that just about everyone knows who the Westboro Baptist church is.  It is a hate filled group calling themselves Christians that have been protesting funerals of veterans, and they even threatened to protest the funerals of the Sandy Hook victims.  Well According to USA today, 2 of the grandaughters of the founder Fred Phelps has defected and left the church saying they are sorry for all the pain they caused.  The following is how Satan turns one into the twisting of Scripture and God’s Holy Word.”

Westboro loyalists have condemned their move. Margie Phelps tweeted Friday: “Sadly these young ladies who go from light out into darkness will soon learn how unreliable is the “love” of the world.#WhatSorrowAwaitsThem”

Their mother, Shirley Phelps-Roper, responded to the defection with a Scripture-packed statement posted at the gay and lesbian web site As Good As You. One quotation came from 1 John 2:19: “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us…”

Unfortunately this goes on more and more.  This is what can happen when you start to twist the scriptures.  Jesus taught love and forgiveness, Paul taught in Romans chapter 12, ‘Love must be sincere.  Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.  Be dovoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves.  Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse!  Live in harmony with one another.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil! If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written:  ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay’  says the Lord.  Do not overcome evil with evil, but overcome evil with good!

This is the hatred that Satan is allowed to place inside our hearts when we truly abandon the scriptures, and twist until it is unrecognizable.  Paul Harvey said it best in His piece titled “If I were The Devil”

We must pray that God will open the rest of Westboro Baptist churchs eyes to the truth.  Pray that He show himself to them, and pray for the ones who have left this satanic cult, pray for God to give them strength.  And whatever you do, don’t believe a twisted scripture such as this.  God help them.  Remember Jesus’s words in Mathew 7:21  ‘Not all who say to me Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven…..23 Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you.  Away from me, you evil-doers.’  Time is short, He’s coming will He find you doing His Father’s will or the will of Satan.
