George Washington’s Vision

There is no historical way to validate George Washington’s vision one way or another but this has been making the rounds in the blogosphere once again as we rapidly approach the beginning of the reign of the The One. The earliest printed example of this was in the June, 24th 1861 Philadelphia Inquirer though some sources state that it had earlier appeared in an 1856 Mormon periodical. The main “naysayers” believe it was little more than Union propoganda for the Civil War. I remember being very small and my grandfather telling me about the vision of George Washington and what that meant about the future of the country. A great example of American folklore if nothing else.
