I too received an alert last sunday, (I am 1200 miles from St. Louis at least) a very loud siren type alert came over my cell phone, it scared me to death! I never had anything like that before, and didn’t sign up for anything like it. It was an amber alert. But there were no matching reports in any of the news outlets! I don’t have verizon, I have another leading provider. What is going on? I would say be very cautious about believing any messages that come in on your phone! This is very serious, and spooky!
