Why Is The Mount Of Olives A Target For Desecration?

By JP Several prominent American Jewish organizations representing the Orthodox community have signed a letter calling on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to “secure” the Mount of Olives and its 3,000-year-old Jewish graveyard from what they described as“continuous violence against visitors, rampant grave desecrations, dumping of refuse and gross defilement of the cemetery by local Arab youths.” Read more

“The Mount of Olives is sacred to Jews and Christians.  The Mount of Olives is where Jesus prayed right before His arrest, the Mount of Olives is  a cemetery for the Jewish people as it overlooks the Eastern Gate where the Messiah will enter.  Zechariah tells us in Chapter 14 of a day when the Lord will come and reign in Jerusalem.  Verse 4 say’s this:  ‘On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.  5.) You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel.  You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah King of Judah.  Then the Lord my God will come, and all the Holy ones with Him….’  So if you were Satan, and knowing this, wouldn’t you try to destroy the place where the Lord will return?  The above excerpt from the Jerusalem Post about the desecration that is taking place on this Holy Mountain, is an abomination in itself.  And the world remains silent.  Imagine if we were desecrating the Al Aqsa Mosque.  World War 3 would erupt, yet they are allowed to desecrate our Holy sites.  Amazing, one more thing that shows that muslims do not worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, yet Christians still want to worship with them, and claim they worship the same God.”
