The Body Of Christ Is Under Attack! ‘Consider Carefully How You Listen’

Luke 8:17

“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.  Therefore consider carefully how you listen.”

I am greatly torn.  The message I get this morning is the Body of Christ is under Attack!  The hidden corruption and false teachings are beginning to surface and brought into the light.  This should tell us of the times we’re in.  The great falling away, is happening right before our eyes.  We must unite in prayer.  That’s what God is telling me this morning!  Unite like never before.  Satan is laughing at us.  He has all the other lost religions of the world laughing at us.  The false prophet is preparing his attack and take over as I write this.  You want to know how to cause Christians to bow to a false god?  Do it like they are doing it now.  Shake the very core of Christianity, with corruption, allegations and false witnesses.  I am praying now for increased discernment, knowledge and wisdom.  That’s what it’s going to take.  I am in tears this morning.  For centuries the Catholic church has been the pillar of Christianity, whether you like it or not.  It has.  It has been the very epitome of what Christianity is.  There are many great Saints of the Catholic Church, the most recent is Mother Teresa.  And I even saw media reports trying to discredit her.  It saddens me, to learn of corruption in any religious institution, of any denomination.

We can’t let it destroy the Body of Christ.  We can’t let the Body of Christ be made a fool.  Although this was prophesied too, and look at how they mocked our Lord.  Satan couldn’t tempt or destroy Jesus, so he set out to destroy His church.   Please, take a serious look at this, we must be ready when Christ returns.  Do you want Him to come and find His church in tatters and everyone following a false god?  I guess that’s why Jesus said ‘The path to destruction is wide, narrow is the gate to salvation.’  But it is heartbreaking and confusing to say the least.  So let’s take Jesus’s words in Luke and put them to practice.  Let’s consider carefully how we listen, and let’s not hide our own light in a jar or under a bed.  Instead let’s put it on a high stand for all who come in to see the light.  Let’s listen, discern and then inform.  Let’s pray for the millions of the Catholic denomination, millions of the protestant’s and the whole of the Body of Christ, so that we may ready ourselves for the bridegroom.  I don’t know how much time we have, no one does, but let’s use the remainder of the time we have left to pray for each other.  I’m examineing my life for sin, and asking God to lead me to repentance, so that my robe will remain spotless.

Above all, remember the words of Jude(verse 9) when dealing with each other :

  • “But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, ‘The Lord Rebuke you.’
