Five committees in the House of Representatives have issued an interim report on the events surrounding the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya last September 11. Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, Judiciary, Oversight and Government Reform, and the Select Committee on Intelligence all said that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was to blame for the reductions of security levels just prior to the attack. The report said that Clinton, the White House and senior State Department officials essentially lied about the details, even under oath. The report concluded in the Executive Summary: “These preliminary findings illustrate the need for continued examination and oversight by the five House Committees.”

The report said, “Reductions of security levels prior to the attacks in Benghazi were approved at the highest levels of the State Department, up to and including Secretary Clinton. This fact contradicts her testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on January 23, 2013. In the days following the attacks, White House and senior State Department officials altered accurate talking points drafted by the Intelligence Community in order to protect the State Department. Contrary to Administration rhetoric, the talking points were not edited to protect classified information. Concern for classified information is never mentioned in email traffic among senior Administration officials.”

In summarizing the report in real terms, the occupant of the Oval Office, his staff, his State Department and other Administration officials outright lied to the American public. The report says, “After the attacks, the Administration perpetuated a deliberately misleading and incomplete narrative that the violence grew out of a demonstration caused by a YouTube video. The Administration consciously decided not to discuss extremist involvement or previous attacks against Western interests in Benghazi.” The report also said that the Administration undermined the ability of the US government to bring the perpetrators to justice.

While further investigation is assuredly warranted, there is no mention of convening a grand jury or a special prosecutor to bring charges against Clinton. There is no mention of impeachment proceedings against the occupant, though his lies and deliberate stonewalling on finding the perpetrators certainly gives cause to the Constitutional requirements of “high crimes and misdemeanors,” even treason as we are a war with terrorism. As Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” It took the House six months to figure out what The Daily Jot reported within days after Benghazi. All these politicians know the score, but will they do anything about it? They won’t unless We the People demand it. Stand against evil, and in doing so, stand.
