Truth in the strangest places

Source: The Daily Jot

Sometimes truth comes in the strangest places. Take for instance, the occupant of the Oval Office’s remarks at the recent news correspondents dinner. Here are some of his one-liners: “Now, look, I get it. These days, I look in the mirror and I have to admit, I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be.Time passes. You get a little gray…Some of my former advisors have switched over to the dark side. For example, David Axelrod now works for MSNBC, which is a nice change of pace since MSNBC used to work for David Axelrod…I’m also hard at work on plans for the Obama Library. And some have suggested that we put it in my birthplace, but I’d rather keep it in the United States.”

Speaking of MSNBC. Host Melissa Harris-Perry has recorded a commercial for the network’s admitted progressive-socialist “Lean Forward” campaign in which she stated that children should not belong to their parents, but instead are the responsibility of the state. She says, “We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because we’ve always had kind of a private notion of children. Your kid is yours and totally your responsibility. We haven’t had a very collective notion of these are our children. So part of it is we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.”

Or how about this 2012 speech by Masha Gessen, Russian born journalist and well known LGBT marriage activist? About marriage to great applause, she said: “I agree, it’s a no‑brainer that we should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no‑brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist…That causes my brain some trouble, and part of it why it causes me trouble is because fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we’re going to do with marriage when we get there, you know, because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change and it should change. And again I don’t think it should exist.”

The occupant’s jokes may be ironic because of the twisted truth in them; MSNBC’s and the LGBT admitted agenda is to abolish marriage and family. They are revealing the truth of themselves and their agendas here on earth, but there is an eternal truth they and folks who believe as they do don’t understand. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.” Later Jesus says (v. 16,17), “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with your for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him, for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.” And that’s the truth.

Have A Blessed And Powerful Day,

Bill Wilson
