Don’t buy the snake oil

The Daily Jot

People are getting fired. Denials are being made as if they had nothing to do with it. Claims that they are angry about it are sincerely aimed at the cameras. Promises to get to the bottom of it are thrown about. They are releasing emails to appear transparent about it. They are apologizing about it. They are all trying to get out of it. “It” is actually four things: Lies about Benghazi, the IRS targeting those in opposition of the occupant of the Oval Office, spying on the nation’s leading provider of news, and now there are charges from a California Congressman that the Department of Justice even wiretapped telephones in the Cloak Room of the House of Representatives. So many denials. Don’t buy the snake oil.

The president’s front man for the administration’s illegal activities is none other than Attorney General Eric Holder, the nation’s top law enforcement officer. In testimony before Congress on Wednesday, Holder made denials, couldn’t remember details. He actually is sticking with the preposterous idea that even though he had knowledge of the wire tappings, he recused himself from the decision, which makes him innocent.  Asked point blank on May 15 if he would appoint a special counsel to investigate Benghazi, Holder answered with one word, a very affirmative “NO.” This is the same man who refuses to enforce immigration laws, the marriage law, and border security laws. Don’t buy his snake oil.

The occupant of the Oval Office is also denying that he had anything to do with any of this. He is making a big show staring into the TV cameras saying that he is angry about all this. The ruse is this: the occupant is brought a report by the Treasury Department that the IRS targeted and harassed his opposition. He reads the report as if it is the first time he has heard about it and publicly feigns indignation. He says, “I have now had the opportunity to review the Treasury Department watchdog’s report on its investigation of IRS personnel who improperly targeted conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status. And the report’s findings are intolerable and inexcusable.” Don’t buy the snake oil.

Wikipedia defines snake oil as: “Snake oil is an expression that originally referred to fraudulent health products or unproven medicine but has come to refer to any product with questionable or unverifiable quality or benefit. By extension, a snake oil salesman is someone who knowingly sells fraudulent goods or who is himself or herself a fraud, quack, charlatan, and the like.” One does not have to be a prophet to predict that this corrupt administration is guilty of high crimes against the people and our nation. It should be impeached and tried for criminal acts. Whether this happens depends on who buys the snake oil and who doesn’t. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.”

Have A Blessed And Powerful Day,
