A Call To Prayer For Pastor Saeed & Pastor Asserian & All Christians In Iran

My Comment:  I don’t want to worry the families of these Pastors, but I have had a dream, that I think has been partially fulfilled, and I was told to pray, over this dream.  Please, join me in prayer for these 2 Pastor’s.  Pray for God to protect them, pray for God to place a veil between them and their persecutors.  Pray that they will know these are children of God, pray for their safety!

Pray for Pastor Saeed Abedini

Iranian government hanged two of Saeed’s cell mates on May 19, 2013. They arrested the pastor of one of the few building (not underground) churches remaining (government approved building church) and are closing down churches that preach in the Persian/ Iranian language which is 99.99% of the Iranian people and are only allowing churches that speak Armenian (not the Persian language) to remain open.
The Iranian government has also disqualified the presidential candidates that were more moderate Muslims who would be giving more freedom to the Christians and hard liner Muslims are the ones running for the presidential election in June 14, 2013.
The Iranian government is really scared and worried about people becoming Christian. Their radical steps only show the amazing work that the Holy Spirit is doing in Iran.
Please continue to pray with me for outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Iranian government thinks they can Silence the True Living God. They don’t know what they are in for.

Pastor Asserian Arrested in Iran

Security forces in Iran arrested Pastor Robert Asserian yesterday, May 21, after disrupting a morning prayer service in progress at Central Assembly of God in Tehran. Before going to the church, authorities raided Pastor Asserian’s home where they confiscated a computer and several books. Then, they found Pastor Asserian at the church leading the prayer service, immediately arrested him, and announced the church’s imminent closure. At last report, the pastor’s whereabouts are unknown. Every indication points to the possibility that Iranian authorities are pursuing the closure of Central Assembly in violation of Iranian law and human rights.

Pastor Asserian’s arrest is one of several that have taken place in the days leading up to Iran’s presidential elections, scheduled for less than a month from now. These incidents appear to be an attempt to stop worship services from being conducted in Farsi, the language of the majority of Iranians. Services are allowed in Armenian, a minority language that most Iranians do not speak or even understand.

Believers in Iran fear that closure of Central Assembly in Tehran will set a precedent for closing all Farsi-language churches in Iran. Such a move would essentially remove all open witness of the gospel of Christ in the country.
