With all the recent news about the pro abortionists in Texas and homosexual marriage, I find myself more and more seeing that the ancient god’s of the Bible are indeed being resurrected today in one way or another. The Baal’s are especially seen today. Lets look at who they are and what worship involved. I have 2 explanations then I have some videos. The videos are from youtube, and it’s from the Glenn Beck Show. I realize that Glenn Beck has gone off his path to expose false god’s and is now calling for universalism and one world religion in a sense, but Rabbi Lapin explains the Baal’s better than anyone I’ve ever heard. They really are worth the listen. Let’s take a look.
According to the Jewish Virtual Library:
Biblical narrative incorporates tales of Baal worship into the traditions of the wilderness wandering, thus tracing Baal worship to the earliest period of Israel’s existence. At Shittim they attached themselves to Baal-Peor, ate sacrifices for the dead, and indulged in sacred sexual orgies (Num. 25:1–11; Ps. 106:28). Life in a land dependent on rainfall enhanced the appeal of the Baal cult and its pervasive influence persisted through the centuries, as the unrelenting protests of the prophets and the sporadic efforts at reform attest. Horrendous and repulsive aspects of the worship – sexual excesses and perversions (Isa. 57:3–10), perhaps including copulation with animals (Hos. 13:2) such as Baal himself performed in the Ugaritic myth – are depicted in the prophetic tirades. Virtually all reference to Baal’s consort, the violent “Virgin Anath” – with whom Baal copulates by the thousand in one of the Ugaritic mythological fragments – has been excluded from the Bible, but the goddesses Ashtart (Judg. 2:13) and *Asherah (Judg. 6:30; II Kings 16:32–33) are associated with him.
Beelzebub as depicted inCollin de Plancy‘s Dictionnaire Infernal (Paris, 1825).
Baal Zebub (Hebrew בעל זבוב) occurs in 2 Kings 1:2–6 as the name of the Philistine god of Ekron.
But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? KJV, 1611
Ba‘al Zəbûb is variously understood to mean “lord of flies”, or “lord of the (heavenly) dwelling”. Originally the name of a Philistine god,Ba’al, meaning “Lord” in Ugaritic, was used in conjunction with a descriptive name of a specific God. Jewish scholars have interpreted the title of “Lord of Flies” as the Hebrew way of calling Ba’al a pile of dung, and comparing Ba’al followers to flies. The Septuagint renders the name as Baalzebub (βααλζεβούβ) and asBaal muian (βααλ μυιαν, “Baal of flies”), but Symmachus the Ebionite may have reflected a tradition of its offensive ancient name when he rendered it asBeelzeboul.
New Testament[edit]
Beelzebub, also Beelzebul, is also identified in the New Testament as Satan, the “prince of the demons”. In Arabic[where?] the name is retained as Ba‘al dhubaab / zubaab (بعل الذباب), literally “Lord of the Flies”.[citation needed] Biblical scholar Thomas Kelly Cheyne suggested that it might be a derogatory corruption of Ba‘al Zəbûl, “Lord of the High Place” (i.e., Heaven) or “High Lord”. The word Beelzebub in rabbinical texts is a mockery of the Ba’al religion, which ancient Hebrews considered to be idol (or, false God) worship.
Can we survive the reign of the Baal’s? I don’t know, not with the great falling away that we are witnessing today. We have made choices and lines have been crossed, this was prophesied for the end times. Can we stop God’s Prophetic Clock? I don’t think so. But I think it’s time for the churches to wake up and take responsibility for their silence and absence from the choices that have been made. We’re heading straight away into satan’s kingdom. If you don’t know Jesus and have not been redeemed, I urge you to pray and ask Him into your life, He will change you, He will save you, there is no other saving power. You can contact us here privately if you like, contact a minister or friend, but don’t put it off. It’s simple really, recognize your sin, ask Jesus to forgive you, recognize Jesus is the Son of God, and died and was resurrected for payment for our sins, that’s it. Jesus know’s your heart, but salvation without repentance is not possible. True repentance means you strive to live a life free of sin, it doesn’t mean you won’t stumble, but it does mean God will be with you. Don’t put it off. The watchmen are sounding the trumpets, and the warnings. He’s coming He’s close, can you feel Him?
