Oh goodness, yesterday the news was all in a dither about the breakdown of the peace talks, there was even one headline that said, Kerry stymied by PA and goes  home.  Hamas was threatening Abbas if he negotiated with Israel that they wouldn’t reconcile.  It really sounded like kerry was sent home with his tail tucked between his legs.  Now all of a sudden this morning, kerry announced that we have peace negotiations and they will resume in Washington without pre-conditions.  He said we have a lot to talk about, but we’re going to do it.  Israel is said to have agreed to release of terrorists from jail to please the PA, and the EU is happy that peace talks are resuming.

So you can see the propaganda machines turning and churning out lies and half truths.  There are even some news and bloggers saying that Netanyahu is silent or has caved in to demands.  I have to tell you I have not seen proof positive that Netanyahu has caved.  At times I’ve thought the same thing, then I would read, his logic.  He will gladly give concessions as long as the Arab community namely the PA, acknowledge Israel’s right to existence, and that they are a state.  This will never happen.  Netanyahu is not stupid by any means.  And he has said ‘Never Again’  over and over and over.  It is not Netanyahu who is caving, there are others there who may.  But God is in control.  He always has been.  There will be no peace without Him.  There will be no peace until Jesus returns.  But before he does return, remember there is prophecy about this very thing.

I have often wondered and asked, why is the world focused on a piece of land the size of New Jersey?  Why should they care.  But they are dead set on the world owning and controlling this little tiny strip of land.  Why?  Could it be because it really is true that God blessed Israel, gave them this land, and God’s presence and name is truly there?  Could it be that God’s son was truly crucified there and resurrected?  Ever heard of the Spear of Destiny?  It is supposedly the spear that the Roman Centurion pierced the side of our lord with.  Legend has it that it carries great power for whoever has it.  The Germans spent a lot of money looking for these relics before WW2 for their power.

Yes if you don’t know it already, there is power in God’s name, there is power in the Blood of Jesus.  Men have been trying to buy this power since the time of the Apostles. Acts 8:18-19  ‘And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, ‘Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.’  But Peter said to him, ‘Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!’

Satan is especially jealous of this power.  Satan has been jealous of humans since the beginning.  He really is hostile toward the Jewish people, as God choice them to send His son into the world.  So he set out to persecute and destroy God’s Holy Mountain, and His people.  The people who follow this are following an evil that does not belong to God.  Satan has even gotten Americans to demonize Israel.

The Emperor Constantine had a dream before going to war, that if he carried the sign of the cross he would never be defeated.  This is why Rome’s official religion was declared as Christianity.

Constantine’s wife was instrumental in re-locating and refurbishing the Holy Sites of Jerusalem.  The trouble is that the people who follow the god of the world (satan) or a humanistic deity is that they believe that land and articfacts carry power.  They don’t know that the power comes from God’s Holy Spirit, and doesn’t dwell in wood or stone.  He dwells in His people.  But God has placed His name in Jerusalem.  The land of Israel  was a deserted, desolate piece of property until Israel came back, and it responded to them miraculously!  Just as prophesied.

So yes, we need to pray for peace, pray for the people of Israel and the innocent people in the surrounding nations, pray for the Christians who are enduring persecution, and speak out against this.  But God is in control, and one day soon, His son, The King of Kings, will place His feet on the Mount of Olives, and the New Jerusalem will descend, and we will reign with Christ our Lord and Savior.  As hard as the lies and deceit are to watch, we know how the story ends.  We know there will be no lasting peace in this tiny strip of God’s land until then.

And remember what the Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5  ‘But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.  For you yoursleves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they say, ‘Peace and Safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.  And they shall not escape.  But you brethren, are not in darkness; so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.  You are all son’s of light and son’s of the day.  We are not of the night nor of darkness.  Therefore let us not sleep as others do; but let us WATCH and be sober.’

So I’ll end this here, while they are totally focused on ‘Peace & Safety’  let us WATCH and be sober.  The watchmen are sounding the warning’s are you listening?
