There has been much talk in the news lately about the coronal hole and what it will cause. Here is an update about the sun and the Coronal Hole and the activity that it’s causing. It looks like the most activity will be August 3-4. Should be interesting. (Click here to read the whole report)
Propagation
Long distance low and medium frequency (below 2 MHz) propagation along paths north of due west over high and upper middle latitudes is poor. Propagation on long distance northeast-southwest paths is poor.
Forecast
The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet on July 31 and August 1-2. On August 3-4 there’s a chance of unsettled and active intervals due to effects from CH577.
