Today the president spoke and said ‘We don’t take sides, the people of Egypt will have to figure it out on their own. He was very defensive, in fact a little too defensive. That old saying “I think the lady doth protest too much,” fits perfect in this situation. First he say’s Mubarak must go, the People have spoken, and we will stand with the people of Egypt.’ Then he say’s this today:
“I know it’s tempting inside of Egypt to blame the United States or the West or some other outside actor for what’s gone wrong. We’ve been blamed by supporters of Morsi. We’ve been blamed by the other side as if we are supporters of Morsi,” he said. “That kind of approach will do nothing to help Egyptians achieve the future that they deserve.”
The president and his press secretary both have said ‘This is up for Egyptians to answer.’ Hello! Where have these 2 been? On one continuous vacation or playing cards so they don’t have to deal with it?
Remember just a few short weeks ago, millions of Egyptians signed a petition to remove Morsi from power. They tend to forget that one little detail. The military removed him. Period. They did what the people wanted. Now the brotherhood is making good on it’s threat to destroy Egypt if they can’t come back to power, and they are even threatening to blackmail the president of the US. The people of Egypt are dying and all they can do over here is start the blame game, and worry about money sent for aid to Egypt. PEOPLE ARE DYING! And that’s all you can think about? Obama got caught riding the middle of the fence, going against the people of Egypt supporting the muslim brotherhood and now they are mad and want revenge. There has been too much press coverage of his support for Morsi, remember he named Morsi to be the head of peace in that region, and shortly after that things fell apart. The brotherhood was banned for over 30 years for a reason, here is their motto from wikipedia:
![]()
“Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.” The Brotherhood’s English language website describes the principles of the Muslim Brotherhood as including firstly the introduction of the Islamic Sharia as “the basis for controlling the affairs of state and society” and secondly, work to unify “Islamic countries and states, mainly among the Arab states, and liberating them from foreign imperialism”.
This video is from You tube in Jan. 2011, it was when Mubarak was about to resign. Notice how obama say’s the Egyptian people have made their wishes known and how he say’s we will stand behind them, and calls for peaceful protests.
Now look at what he said today. What????!!! My goodness, I agree with the pundits, his policy and rhetoric is ‘completely incoherant. ‘ What a tangled web we weave. I’ve said all along, this whole Arab spring, is not about the people, it’s about causing chaos, destruction and death to destabilize the region. When this war is over, land will be carved up and will include Jerusalem, and the mediteranean. They ‘Have come to plunder.’
One last thing from Feb. 2011, remember this famous speech? ‘The people of Egypt have spoken, their voices have been heard? Why doesn’t he tell this to the brotherhood today? It’s too late mr. president, you have already taken sides with the people of Egypt, you can’t take it back, but you have.
