By the will of God we are born into the world.Some have a wonderful life with loving parents while others are not as fortunate.Each and every one of us has the chance to be loved by accepting the Blessed hope found only in Christ.It is written we have fathers of the flesh (worldly parents),but to be in subjection to God the Father of Spirits gives eternal life to our souls.
“Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby”.(Hebrews 12:9-11).
When we accept the truth of the gospel of christ we become part of the family of God through the Holy Spirit.This spiritual family makes us heirs to the promises of God. “For if you live after the flesh,ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear;but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,Father.The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.: And if children, then heirs;heirs of God,and joint-heirs with Christ,if so be that we suffer with him,that we may be also glorified together”.(Romans 8:13-17).
When Mary came to the sepulchre of Jesus weeping there was whom she thought to be the gardener only to learn it was her Saviour! Then Jesus spoke these profound words to her people sometimes miss that God is the FATHER AND GOD of Jesus. “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God”.(John 20:17).
Before the foundations of the world we were predestined and chosen unto the adoption through the gospel of Christ. “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved”.(Ephesians 1:4-6).
God sent his only Begotten Son that whosoever would believe on him shall inherit Eternal Life.What a wonderful gift we have been offered to become the sons and daughters and joint heirs of a Kingdom that will have no end!

Dr.gold……….Hello Brother…What a great point you brought up on two counts……That Jesus ascended to Heaven twice and the Revelation you gave of how he was able to travel great distance as though there was no time hinderance…So True! there is no hinderance of time with the Father in a Glorified body…..Oh what a day that will be when we can be in eternity with pure Joy and no more tears….God Is So Good to his children.God Bless You for this insight given!Your comment reminded me of one of the posts I did on Prayer Can Cross Distance.

What a beautiful post regarding ‘The Adoption’- being ‘children of God.. heirs of God, & joint heirs with Christ’ Ro8:16,17. This is Sonship. It means that everything that Jesus possess will be given to & shared with us as joint heirs with Christ- His wisdom, His honour, His power, & His Glory. Heb1:2-3 describes the magnitude of Jesus’ greatness- Jesus is ‘the brightness of God’s Glory, & the express image of God’s person..’. God wants to make us like Jesus. This is pretty incomprehensible, but nevertheless God’s will for us!
Did you know that Jesus ascended into heaven at least twice? Jesus told Mary not to touch him because He had not yet presented Himself to the Father- to His God & our God Jn20:17. Jesus then went to heaven & returned back to earth, because after a week later He told doubting Thomas to touch Him- ‘Reach hither thy finger, & hold my hands.. thrust it into my side’ Jn20:27. This is the 1st time Jesus ascended into heaven. At His resurrection,Jesus had a glorified body such that could walk through the walls of a closed room Jn20:19,26, & travelled a great distance with great ease Lk24:13,15.
Forty days later, Jesus ascended into heaven the 2nd time Jesus, after He gave the promise of the Holy Spirit Ac1:8,9. One day Jesus will then return to earth in like manner Ac1:11. Like Jesus, one day we will also receive a glorified body 1Co15:51,52, & be able to travel through time & space, through the 3rd & 4th dimensions of eternity with great liberty & joy!
