Abbas Wants Full Boycott of Jewish Settlement Products

My Comment: While Israel readies itself to release more prisoners as part of their gesture toward peace, Abbas continues his hatred, even refusing to give his gesture of faith toward peace by acknowledging that Israel has a right to exist. And the world backs them, the most recent evidence of this is the threat from the UN Human rights council. Read here

(Israel Today) Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday called on the European Union to implement a full boycott of Jewish communities in the so-called “occupied territories.”

The EU has already published new guidelines banning member states from investing in or doing business with Israeli companies with a presence in Judea and Samaria. Private companies are still free do to so.

Abbas wants the EU to go a step further and enforce a full boycott of all goods produced in the Jewish settlements.

“I call on European companies and foreign companies doing business in the settlements to put an end to their activities,” the AFP quoted the Palestinian leader as saying following his meeting with European Council President Herman van Rompuy.

The latest edition of Israel Today deals with this issue in-depth, especially the undeniable reality that tens of thousands of Palestinians not only rely on jobs in the Jewish settlements, but actually appreciate being able to work for Jewish-owned businesses.
