This has always been a mystery to me, until recently as I was studying and asking for guidance, I got the similar answer as is given here. I had the same questions posed here. I don’t know if this is right, but it’s the best I’ve heard to date. Again, like he say’s too, study the scriptures for yourself, be a Berean.

There are a lot of questions that come from Revelation 7:3-8 regarding the 144,000. One very common question is, “Who are they?” It is said that the 144.000 are from the 12 Tribes of Israel, Jews. But there might be a different explanation!
