How Blessed are we when our Father dwells in the height of heaven, and watches over us daily along with comfort that we gain from reading his word. “Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me”.(Psalm 138:6,7).
If we ever feel overwhelmed we are assured God is not far from us and will not allow us to be overtaken! “But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee”.(Isaiah 43:1,2)
Jesus who is our high priest and mediator between us and the Father is all the help we will ever need, for he too was tempted as we are yet without sin. Our Saviour sits at the right hand of God the Father and he is an ever present help in times of trouble. “Seeing then we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.(Hebrews 4:14-16).
All hope and help come from our Saviour and Father who know that each and every one of us have them to seek shelter and refuge in! “There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun (Jerusalem), who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, destroy them. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places”.(Deuteronomy 33:26-29).
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)

Amen Julia! I was just reading that verse last night. God Bless you, He is our refuge, and with Christ we have 24-7 access to the throne of our Father. We should all find comfort in this.
