Can you imagine what Jesus must have thought when some of the disciples didn’t believe that Jesus had rose from the dead? Jesus lived, died, and rose in an evil time. There were other God’s, other evil spirits and many cults and magicians. So when he gave the disciples their commission to go and preach the word, baptizing them in the name of the Father, son, and Holy Spirit, he gave them great power so that people would believe He sent them. This is where this scripture gets twisted so much by these very people in this video. This type of thing causes unbelievers to doubt, not want to come to Christ. Perhaps that’s why Jesus told Satan ‘Don’t test the Lord thy God.’

- Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

This is very sad. I am sorry that this scripture can be so twisted like this. I cannot help but think of tha Apostle Paul who was attacked by a viper as he was building a fire to warm by, and shook it off of his hand into the fire. Of course the local people thought he would fall over soon and die, However the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT was upon him and he remained strong and was not harmed in any way. I am certain that the people
listened to every word he said! The Gospel was ministered to all around.
The Scripture also states that ” if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them”, but no serious disciple will drink down a cup of arsenic or cyanide to show how much they have GOD’S SPIRIT upon/within them. That is tempting GOD. Nevertheless the scripture is still true. If a servant of CHRIST comes in contact with a poisonus substance accidentally in
the course of their ministry, supernatural protection is still there. In the Apostle Pauls case, he was attacked by a snake in the course of his obeying his LORD+. He was not lifting up the snake and staring it in the face.
In the house Churches in China the works of the the HOLY SPIRIT are seen in abundance and are a normal thing in the lives of the disciples of our LORD+ there. Even raising of dead ones as well as healing of sick and casting out of demons. The disciples there know about the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT. They hold nothing back from CHRIST their LORD+, and HE+ holds nothing back from them! However I have never read of anyone handling poisonous snakes nor drinking poison on purpose. I’m sure they would say that would be tempting GOD.
Of course the underground Church in China is on the front lines and are subject to being sent to labor camps, torture, and other serious penalties for openly confessing CHRIST. Perhaps we may have to learn to live this way ourselves at some point soon. The open hatred of our LORD+ is getting very agressive in this land now. Let us all watch and pray that we may stand as bravely as those of our Brothers and Sisters in China do.

Amen Brother, and thank you. Thanks so much for your wonderful words of truth. And yes God does indeed offer us protection and gifts so that when we are doing His work and increasing numbers for him as in China and the middle east, they will see the wondrous powers of the Holy Spirit and turn to God. I pray for those on the front lines for God’s strength and power to witness to the lost. Many are coming to Christ daily as a witness to visions of Him, and miracles. They are facing much tribulation and persecution also, that’s what made this so wrong for me. There are people who face these dangers on a daily basis just in their daily attempt to witness, yet they overcome them, and to tempt and mock these powers in this way, well it made me very sad. May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
