Boko Haram Offer to Trade Schoolgirls for Prisoners Rejected by Nigerian Government

The Jerusalem Post, and the Christian Post are reporting that the Nigerian government turned down the demands of Boko Haram to trade the kidnapped girls for prisoners. As both point out this is not surprising. Many media outlets said that the video shown by Boko Haram pointed out that the girls were still all together. I don’t see confirmation of that. Open doors president said the same. Christian Post quoted him as saying this:

“Our hope at Open Doors is that Boko Haram will release the girls for humanitarian reasons because they are innocents, and so forth. But I don’t know if they’ll do that. They’ve shown a callousness toward human life that is shocking to most in the world.”

Everyone is hopeful that the girls are still together. Conflicting reports have surfaced in the last week, one saying that some of the girls were seen in the CAR (North East) being loaded on a plane in the middle of the night. Israel has joined the latest country to offer assistance. This is hopeful. The Jerusalem Post points out : “Rescuing captives is one of highest moral imperatives in Judaism, say heads of US Jewish groups that have spoken out on issue.” This one statement say’s it all, it should be the priority of the entire world.

It’s time for this evil sickness to end. This disdain and coldblooded hatred for all life is an abomination.

This blackness is spreading and it’s spreading fast. I heard reports today that our government knew that Boko Haram had connections to Al-Queda when they raided the Bin Laden compound the night he was killed. The reluctancy of our government to label Boko Haram as what they are, a terrorist organization is inconceivable. This is not just dis-satisfied or disgruntled, people. This is a highly sophisticated super highway of terror. And it’s growing by the minute.

Pray without ceasing for knowledge & guidance for those searching, pray for comfort, and protection for these girls and their families. It’s time for the world to say enough!
