“Stand In The Hedge”

OH’ How the world will try it’s best to make you feel as though to stand for the just judgement of God is as a waste of time to some, but for those who know the importance of standing against what even God does not accept it is no small feat unless we place it in the hands of God who stands in the hedge with us! “For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. But judgement shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence”.(Psalm 94:14-17).

When people will not stand for the truth of the holy word of God then they leave him no other choice than to return upon their own head the way they have chosen for themselves . Therefore it is of greater value to take a stand for God then to go where God is not! “The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord”.(Ezekiel 22:29-31).

The joy of the Lord is our strength and just as Job had a hedge of protection placed around him by God that even satan knew of this hedge, yet was satan not able to penetrate the faith of Job as he stayed strong and served God and no matter what he Loved the Lord who he many times stood in the hedge as he spoke to his friends and even his wife told him to curse God and die and he never waivered one bit praise God! He cursed his day, But never God!!! “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God and die. But he said unto her, Thou speaketh as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips”.(Job 2:9,10).

We are told the field’s are ripe for the harvest, but the labourer’s are few! There are not many who will stand in the hedge for God……Will You?
