As we watched in horror the news unfolding of the attack on a school in Pakistan, yesterday, it was a roller coaster of emotion around the world. As condemnation quickly hit the news of the attack on one of the world’s most precious commodities. Children. Innocents that look to the adults of their world for protection, they looked into the face of satan, evil and death. Our minds and hearts cannot comprehend such evil. We are in shock, and disbelief. As I sat sobbing at my computer I took prayers before God, prayers for understanding, peace, comfort and love. Love for these precious soul’s. As I read story after story each more heartbreaking than the next, the images of the faces of the precious survivors will be engrained in my memory forever. As one said to me, “my mother cried.” Mother’s across the world are mourning with the Mother’s of Pakistan today.
We ask as many Why? Why must we watch evil in our world, why must we watch this demonic slaughter of innocents? I ask “How long oh Lord?” And I can see the same answer Jesus gave to John in Revelation. “Wait a little longer.”
Reflect a moment on what Heaven was like yesterday:
It started as any day, Angels scurrying around as they were preparing for the arrival of what they knew as ‘very important’ guests. Their warmth, love and smiles were shining. Then they were shown a scene from the earth, as they looked down on the wickedness they saw they cried out and tears began to flow. Not since the death of their Savior and King have they felt such emotion. Such helplessness they must have felt, as they were told to stand down, they were given their mission. Their mission was to gather the precious soul’s into the fold of Heaven, and fold their arms around them, taking them straight into the presence of the King. They too, were told to wait a little longer. You see, they are awaiting the time when they will return with the King of King’s to destroy the evil from the earth. They are anxiously awaiting the Glorious return so they can battle this beast for the last time. But until then there is much work to be done, much harvesting to be done, & much comforting. As they too carry the prayers of the Saints before the throne. And Jesus tells us this: Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:10
So Mothers of Pakistan, you can reach out and receive the light and love of Christ and know without a doubt that your precious children are indeed in Heaven before the Throne of God. And God tells us that He will repay, Vengeance is His.
To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. Deuteronomy 32:35
Today we mourn with the Mother’s of Pakistan, let us use this time to show them and the world the love of Christ and His Father. Let the Holy Spirit surround them with peace that can only come from God, let Him surround them with comfort and the light of Christ to shine in this darkness. And let them know without a doubt that their precious loved ones are indeed before the Throne of God.
