This trend is disturbing and seems to be slowly building. One cannot help but think of Gestapo and elite SS troops in Germany in the WW2 timeframe. The fierce “thug” attitude that has developed in America has migrated into the law enforcement agencies to a large degree it seems.

People have said, “this can’t happen in America”. That is exactly what the people said in Germany. The similarities between pre WW2 Germany and America are frightening, even to the Reichstag fire and the 911 event, and the using of those events as an excuse to tighten control over the populace.
The ancient pre-Nicene Christians experienced the unfeeling fierceness of the Roman troops against them. It may be that the same attitude will come toward Christians in the U.S.A. before it is over.
