I have refrained from commenting much about Obama’s promise to Pastor Saeed’s children and wife concerning his release. He promised them in a recent visit to Idaho that he would do all he could to secure Pastor Saeed’s release. I have held my breath, cried and remained hopeful that Obama would hold true to his word. Pastor Saeed, a reporter, a marine & former FBI agent are being held in an Iranian prison.
Enduring torture and abuses we can’t even imagine. While the leaders of both countries wine and dine each other, promises of a 5 Billion dollar signing bonus and all without even so much as a mention of a pre-condition of the release of our prisoners. Pastor Saeed is in prison because of his faith in Christ, the marine and reporter are held on espionage charges. In fact the reporter was just charged with spying. And now in a daring move Iran has seized a cargo ship from a US interest. All taunting and flippant that they can do anything they want and the US can’t stop them. They see Obama and Kerry and the rest of the Administration as weak and pitiful. And in reality they are. What happened to ‘we leave no man behind?’ He lied, just as they did in Benghazi. And the majority of Americans believe every word from his mouth.
In a stunning comment, White House spokesperson Josh Earnest told reporters that interjecting the captive Americans into the discussions is unacceptable and that it “certainly would interfere with the ongoing negotiations between the international community and Iran on their nuclear program.” via Obama Administration Threatens to Veto Measure Requiring Pastor Saeed’s Freedom | American Center for Law and Justice.
There should have been no talks until these men were back on US soil. Period. No occasional side line mentions, no nothing, period until these men were home. And now President Obama is threatening to veto any legislation demanding that their release be a part of the deal. This shouldn’t surprise me, but it does. We know that ultimately God is in control, we know that our hope and faith lies in Him. We will not stop praying for His and the other’s release, but remember it’s God’s will not ours. God has a way of orchestrating everything meant for bad for His good. Please continue to pray for Pastor Saeed, pray for his release, pray for endurance, pray for strength and guidance and protection. Pray for the Holy Spirit to convict these men until they release him and the others. Please call the White House and let them know how you feel. This explains EVERYTHING, IMO. The Marines historically crushed islamists when called to war against them. The former Marine who was jailed down in Mexico was also left to languish in prison for making a WRONG TURN, then subsequently was trapped by Mexican Border agents. Let’s put it this way….many muslims hold a grudge against our Marines which, to me, explains the foot-dragging not to mention obama’s open animosity to Christianity.

Josaphat Watch, thank you for your voice, Pastor Saeed isn’t a former Marine, but there is a marine there also. He went to visit his family there and they arrested him and charged him with espionage, and sentenced him to death. And yes that explains alot. I watched with anguish the Marine in Mexico also. This administration appears to have a disdain for our military vets. Pastor Saeed was an American Pastor who was also visiting family and helping to set up orphanages in Iran when they arrested him. Similar stories from the reporter and the former FBI agent also held there. These men are enduring so much torture and abuse at the hands of the Iranians. So we have a disdain for Christians and our Military from this administration. Thanks again for your voice.
