FLESH IS LIKE GRASS, AND LIKE A MIST THAT APPEARS A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN VANISHES

JESUS SAID, It is the SPIRIT that gives LIFE, the Flesh profits nothing. The WORDS that I+ speak unto you are SPIRIT, and They are LIFE.   John 6:63

All flesh is like the grass, the grass withers and the flower falls away, but The WORD of The LORD GOD endures FOREVER   And this is The WORD by which the GOSPEL of LIFE is preached unto you    1 Peter 1: 24-25

I have been noticing more than ever lately, how much TIME the “father of lies” steals from human beings, even from the LORD’S Children. It is done by tricking them into focusing on the things that will NOT LAST but will RAPIDLY FADE and become WORTHLESS in the blink of an eye.

     How much time and effort and money are wasted on things, useless pass-times, establishing ourselves in this world as though we were going to be here a long time.

    Our LORD+ has given us specific instructions on how we are to conduct ourselves in this world and in this very short sojourn here.  HE+ made it NOT COMPLICATED or hard to understand, and yet we see HIS+ Words negated by most of the modern “churches” and yes,  by most of those who profess to be Christians as well.

I once heard an evangelist ask his audience how did their commitment to CHRIST line up with their actual lifestyle and value system. He asked them how many of them would happily take a bank loan for 30 or more years of their life to pay back DOUBLE for a house…..

 He then asked them, “How many of you would take a large loan to make certain that others on earth could hear the GOSPEL of LIFE and relieve them of their extreme poverty?” Needless to say the place got very QUIET.

We have been trained that certain things are wise and prudent, and that certain other things are FOOLISH and make no “common sense”.

But what does JESUS say?

“Seek FIRST The KINGDOM of GOD and HIS Righteousness and  ALL of these things shall be added unto you.”  Matthew 6 : 33

“Do not be afraid LITTLE FLOCK. It is your FATHER’S GOOD PLEASURE to GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM.” Luke 12 31-32

However, we are also taught by the Apostles, by The HOLY SPIRIT, to be CONTENT with food and clothing. So there is an overall adjustment in values to be made.

GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT is GREAT GAIN!  We brought NOTHING into this world, and it is CERTAIN that we can carry NOTHING OUT.

1 Tim, 6:7

As one serious follower of CHRIST said centuries ago, ” The only thing you can take with you when you leave this world is what you have given. What you are in HIS+ sight is what you are and NOTHING MORE.  ( Br. Francis of Assisi ) 

Do all that you can do to unyolk yourself from the cares and deceits of this life and the things that people expect from you that are NOT what CHRIST commanded us.

The adversary will use peer pressure against you if he can. Do not be afraid of the opinion of man about you. Let us be concerned with ONLY ONE+ OPINION, That ONE+ Who+ has rescued us from death and darkness with HIS+ Own Body and Blood, JESUS CHRIST our LORD+.

Remember, he that puts his hand to the plow and turns and looks back is not fit for the KINGDOM of GOD. Let us all be SINGLE-MINDED and refuse to let LUKEWARMNESS and the cares of this life creep up on us. 

Let us all by HIS+ Enabling GRACE, as we yield ourselves to HIM+, be counted worthy to escape these things that are coming on the earth, and to stand unashamed before the SON of MAN+.
