ASCENSION !

The Crowning Jewel of The RESURRECTION

Acts 1: 9-10-11

 And when HE+ had spoken these things,

while they beheld,

HE+ was taken up;

and a cloud received HIM+ out of their sight.

And while they looked stedfastly toward Heaven

as HE+ went up,

behold,

two men stood by them in white apparel;

Which also said,

Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up

into Heaven?

This same JESUS,

Who+ is taken up from you

into Heaven,

shall so come

in like manner as ye have seen him go

into Heaven.

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST meant for His+ disciples

to SEE Him+ ascending into Heaven.

It was purposeful.

His+ disciples were stricken with AWE !

The LORD JESUS CHRIST, in HIS+ Resurrected, Glorified BODY had just spent 40 days with His+ disciples, teaching them the things concerning the Kingdom of GOD, Acts 1:3.

HE+ appeared at will among them, coming and going … sometimes suddenly coming,  sometimes suddenly VANISHING from their sight, as HE+ did with the men walking to Emmaus, Luke 24:31.

The Ascension of CHRIST… HE+ was taken up into Heaven … was VISIBLE !  This time, the disciples SAW HIM+ go up! 

 In His+ Glory, what was HE+ showing them ?

Flesh,

in its GLORIFIED BODY,

may indeed enter Heaven !

For our citizenship (Gk) is in Heaven;

from whence also we look for

the Savior+, the LORD JESUS CHRIST:

Who+ shall change our vile body,

that it may be fashioned like unto

His+ Glorious BODY+,

according to the working whereby

HE+ is able

even to subdue all things

unto Himself.+

Philippians 3: 20-21

O GOD, our FATHER, WHO for our Redemption didst give Thine Only-BEGOTTEN SON+ to the death of the Cross. 

And HE+, through His+ Glorious Resurrection and Ascension, has delivered us from the power of the adversary and the dominion of Death;

Grant us so to die daily from sin

that we may evermore live with HIM+ in the joy of His+ Resurrection, through the same, Thy SON+ JESUS CHRIST our LORD, Who+ lives and reigns with THEE , and Thy Blessed HOLY SPIRIT… ONE GOD… both now and forever, World without End.
