Racism, White Supremacy, and the Bible

By Greg Holt

It’s really quite amazing to me how people who call themselves “Christians” can have such a seed of hatred within them for the Jewish people.  I wonder, how do they reconcile their antisemitism towards the Jews, with the Father in Heaven?  Do they think that their feelings towards God’s chosen people are righteous, therefore making them ok?

Andrew Torba’s writings of late have become very disturbing, he constantly disseminates an attitude of superiority over, and absolute disgust, if not hatred with and for the Jewish people.  He supports “Christian Nationalism,” which often links to white supremacy.  Maybe the bigger problem here is – he has a lot of company.  It’s sickening to me how much hatred for the Jews is expressed on Gab and X alone, if one spends any amount of time on either platform, you will come across posts that are hateful and vulgar.

These beliefs do not square up with the Bible’s teachings, at all.

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

Love your neighbor as yourself, this means all people everywhere!  Notice also that Jesus states that these two “laws” are the greatest of all, so much so that all the law and the entirety of the prophets hang upon them.  How then can anyone justify their backbiting hatred of the Jews or anyone else for that matter?

White Supremacy

Torba constantly rants about the Jewish people:

“The hollow “Christian Zionism” of the past is a dying creed, exposed as a theological error and a geopolitical scam.” (Source)

He is of course expounding on replacement theology, which contrary to his ignorant remarks – is a false doctrine.

Torba speaks of building a new America, one that is for America first, and all Americans – unless of course you are Jewish, or don’t fall in line with his politics, or if you are not white.

“The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled wasn’t convincing the world he didn’t exist—it was convincing conservatives that “principles” mattered more than power, that “civility” was more important than victory, and that losing gracefully was somehow more honorable than winning and actually conserving something.” (Source)

The conservative movement is largely a disgrace, that is true.  But are we to attain power at any and all costs, and your “principles” be damned???

Then Torba goes on to say:

“We run candidates who say the quiet part out loud. Who talk about White interests explicitly.”

That sounds a lot like white supremacy to me.  Yes, Torba is correct about the discrimination against whites these days, and even the hatred directed towards us, but does this justify a white supremacist attitude?

Yet more proof of what I’m saying:

“We read what the actual Founders wrote. We discovered that the Naturalization Act of 1790 restricted citizenship to “free white persons of good character.” We learned that the Founders explicitly understood America as a nation for a particular people with a particular heritage.” (Source)

So, the only people who matter must have white skin and ethnicity it sounds like to me, and the rest should; I don’t know, leave, be subjugated, have less rights???

Taking Scripture Out of Context

Torba also has a penchant for taking Scripture out of context, in a big way, read the following comment from one of his blog posts:

“They called us antisemites. We opened our Bibles and read aloud. We quoted the Church Fathers. We pointed out that Jesus Himself called certain people a “synagogue of Satan.” Were they going to call the Son of God an antisemite?” (Source)

The sheer audacity of Torba to actually use Jesus Christ Himself to prop up Torba’s false doctrine is beyond the pale.  Yes, Jesus did chew the Phairsees a new one – but what Torba misses here is that not all Jews were included in this condemnation.  How does Torba (And all others who share this viewpoint) justify their anti-Jew viewpoint, when the Bible clearly does not teach this?  What about the fact that the apostles were Jews???  How about the fact that Jesus was Himself born of the tribe of Judah, and will rule from the throne of King David at His return?

The Issues

Torba is correct in saying that there are a lot of issues, politically, and with the mixed cultures and peoples that make up the “melting pot” we call America, but what I believe he fails to see is that – his approach is no better.

Torba isn’t wrong on many of his viewpoints, but to all but say that white supremacy is the way to go?  He rants about Jewish oppression, about strong anti-white racism etc.; he is correct on the racism against whites – but then to say that America should be a nation “for whites,” which is basically a lead-in to the oppression of all other people, well, that’s just wrong.
