An Answer to “Streets of Minneapolis” – Springsteen’s Pure Leftist Drivel

By Greg Holt

At one time, I actually liked the “Boss,” now, quite honestly, I can’t stand the man.  I was never a die-hard fan of Bruce Springsteen, but he had some good songs.  How times change.

The “Boss” was no longer a just a hard rocker, he instead became a hard-core leftist, and even turned on his own fan-base.

The blue-collar rocker was now charging up to $5000.00 for a concert ticket, and $750.00 or more for one of his Broadway shows.  Fans understandably felt betrayed.  Then there was the Springsteen rants against his own fans.

Bruce Springsteen ranting about Trump, and how stupid you as an American are:

“You are all being fooled from this president who has no idea what he is talking about.  And to those that have followed my work throughout the decades, and to make me out to be the bad guy, you are obviously misplaced and need to educate yourselves on what it means to be an American because right now the way you are living is unamerican.  The American people have lost their way.  They have fallen for the lies from Mr. Trump who doesn’t want to be a president.  This man wants to be a king.  And people really need to wake the hell up already to understand what’s going on.” (Source)

So, you, Joe Public are not only an idiot, you are un-American – you must agree with me, the all-knowing, king of rock, Bruce Springsteen.  Sorry Springsteen, Elvis was the king, and you are not even fit to wipe his shoes off.

Below are the lyrics to the new Bruce Springsteen “song,” my version follows:

Streets of Minneapolis

Through the winter’s ice and cold
Down Nicollet Avenue
A city aflame fought fire and ice
‘Neath an occupier’s boots
King Trump’s private army from the DHS
Guns belted to their coats
Came to Minneapolis to enforce the law
Or so their story goes

Against smoke and rubber bullets
In the dawn’s early light
Citizens stood for justice
Their voices ringing through the night
And there were bloody footprints
Where mercy should have stood
And two dead, left to die on snow-filled streets
Alex Pretti and Renee Good

Oh, our Minneapolis, I hear your voice
Singing through the bloody mist
We’ll take our stand for this land
And the stranger in our midst
Here in our home, they killed and roamed
In the winter of ’26
We’ll remember the names of those who died
On the streets of Minneapolis

Trump’s federal thugs beat up on
His face and his chest
Then we heard the gunshots
And Alex Pretti lay in the snow dead
Their claim was self-defense, sir
Just don’t believe your eyes
It’s our blood and bones
And these whistles and phones
Against Miller and Noem’s dirty lies

Oh, our Minneapolis, I hear your voice
Crying through the bloody mist
We’ll remember the names of those who died
On the streets of Minneapolis

Now they say they’re here to uphold the law
But they trample on our rights
If your skin is black or brown, my friend
You can be questioned or deported on sight
In our chants of “ICE out now”
Our city’s heart and soul persists
Through broken glass and bloody tears
On the streets of Minneapolis

Oh, our Minneapolis, I hear your voice
Singing through the bloody mist
Here in our home, they killed and roamed
In the winter of ’26
We’ll take our stand for this land
And the stranger in our midst
We’ll remember the names of those who died
On the streets of Minneapolis
We’ll remember the names of those who died
On the streets of Minneapolis

ICE out (ICE out)
ICE out (ICE out)
ICE out (ICE out)
ICE out (ICE out)
ICE out (ICE out)
ICE out  (Source)

Streets of America

Through summer’s rain and fury
winter’s ice and cold
In the streets of America
Cities awash in crime and violence
Serving the people
Removing rapists, thugs, and killers
Got a duty to the people
To enforce the law
Keep the people safe

Walking the edge
Against the back-biting media
Citizens want to be safe
Leftists releasing criminals
To steal, kill, and destroy
Let’s take back the streets
From thugs and predators

We the People cry out
Who will help us?
A desire to be safe
Protected from criminals
Who would see us harmed
Their thefts and frauds
Stopped in their tracks
America will persevere
Yes we will!

The foolish leftists
Inciting violence and inflicting harm
Interfering in police actions
With strong zeal, to stop the law
In defense of the criminals
While the citizens of this land
Beaten, knifed, and murdered
Families suffer and ache in trauma
Bleeding and broken
Kicked to the curb
To favor the lawless

Oh, America, America
We hear your cries
Who will help us?
We aren’t going to put up with it
Law and order will return
The lawless will pay
The illegals we’ll deport
The leftists we’ll discredit
America will persevere
Yes we will!

ICE will uphold the law
Border patrol and police will too
Let’s make a mockery of America
The left’s message is done
Fraud we will not tolerate
Illegals need to go
Criminals are accountable
Lying media will be exposed
Deaths are unfortunate
Interfering and threatening officers
A fool’s game that ends poorly

Tired of leftist lies
Liberal manipulation
Crimes that skate by
Calls for violence, calls for death
Call out the Kings of violence and death
The piper must be paid
Law will rule
Peace will no longer be a memory

Oh, America, America
We hear your cries
Who will rescue us?
We’re done with this
Law and order will return
The lawless will pay
The illegals we’ll deport
The leftists we’ll discredit
America will persevere
Yes we will!
