Maybe this explains why the red cross and salvation army is not out in force, they are responding but seem to be working with FEMA.But it was a slow start. On Tuesday a resident of New Dorp Beach yelled from a wrecked rooftop, “Where’s the Red Cross?” They arrived late Thursday.
