I found an article while looking for other news, that jumped right out at me. With the elections in Israel there’s a controversy over remarks about the temple mount made by one of the candidates Jeremy Gimpel. But that’s not what stuck out at me. Evidently there are differing views among Jews about how the 3rd temple will be built. There are some that say they will build it next to the mosque, others say they will replace the mosque, but what I find most interesting is that there is a Jewish sect called Neturei Karta, that believe among other things; their temple will not be restored until the return of the Jewish Messiah, and that it will descend from Heaven, much like Revelation chapter 21 when John saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God! In this chapter John clearly writes that he didn’t see a temple in this city because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. This is what I believe also as to why the 3rd temple will not be built until Jesus (Messiah) returns. I just found it interesting that there was this Jewish sect that believed basically the same thing. Now I’m sure I’ll get mail saying that’s not what they believe. But evidently they do believe that the temple will not be built until the return of their Messiah, which we know who that will be. Zechariah 12:10 “They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” I have many issues with the belief by Christians that a 3rd temple will be rebuilt so that the Anti-christ can declare himself God from there. It really doesn’t say that in the Bible. Jesus say’s “when you see the abomination spoke of by Daniel standing in a holy place (or some translations say standing where he shouldn’t) let the reader understand. So Jesus doesn’t say, when he’s in the temple of your God declaring himself to be God. He doesn’t say that. In fact Jesus told the disciples when they asked him about the Temple, that “there will be no stone left unturned” period! He didn’t say no stone left unturned until the antichrist rebuilds it. Always in the history of Israel, God gave the prophets visions about the rebuilding of the temple. But this time there is none. There is a vision and prophecy given to Ezekial in chapter 37 that compares Israel to a valley of dry bones, and in this prophecy God brings them back to life to live in the Land He gave them. Ezekial did see a vision of the temple, but that prophecy about the temple, I believe was already fulfilled.

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. (I want to note that in other scriptures the “dwelling of God” usually refers to the temple) They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new! Then he said, write this down for these words are trustworthy and true. He said to me: ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
HALLELUJAH! I want to be in that number of those whose names are in the book of life, not the last batch! So you see this new temple or new Jerusalem as John calls it, comes after Jesus defeats satan and his armies and clearly shows that there will still be many unbelievers and wicked. It also shows what will happen to these wicked. What list are you on? Don’t you want to know? You can if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He’s coming, He’s Close, Can you Feel Him?

I mostly agree with you. New Jerusalem will not hold a physical temple, for Christ IS the synagogue. Nonetheless, a charismatic ‘man of peace’ will attempt to ‘heal’ the wounds between the ‘people of the book’ and the those of the qur’an. It may seem like a ludicrous logic, that an islamic antichrist will promote the rebuilding of Solomon’s temple. Perhaps the project might improve the economy in the ME. For all I know, the people may try to erect a tower to the sky.
If you recall the documents I sent to you about Adnan Oktar, he is indeed a ‘man of all seasons’ and has many characteristics to fit as the ‘man of lawlessness’. Should Oktar bows to satan, the latter will anoint a sharpened intellect and talents of a super-human. That is to say: God (not allah) will give him over to evil. He will not even realize he was duped. He will believe he is Emanuel.
We could go on with unending possibilities. Time will come in His time, not ours.

I do recall those articles you sent. And it is a good possibility that the antichrist will attempt to merge all religions as one and it is possible that he will build a temple. But I don’t subscribe to the idea that the Jews have to re-build their temple and resume sacrifices in order for the messiah to come. I heard a minister once tell his congregation that unless they saw the rebuilding of the Jewish temple in their lifetime, than they didn’t have to worry about Jesus’s return in their lifetime. I couldn’t believe he said that. To me, that is misleading and almost blaspehmous. It’s for sure a false twisting of the scripture. Anyway, yes I enjoyed the articles you sent. And Time will tell. We can’t forget the God factor, and His timing.

While the church has gone down to Hades, we should be seeking the ‘man of sin’. Although obama is heinous and frankly anti Christian, the entity is not THE antichrist.

You might analyze the man’s talents, character, tastes, and goals. Very interesting. I suppose that is what they are working feverishly to bring about. It’s possible that the 6th trumpet war could bring so much chaos and death that the world would quickly embrace this false religion and antichrist, and the temple could be rebuilt on the heels of that. I can see that happening clearly, just trying to fit the pieces together. Thanks.

13) “And at that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
Will the third earthquake cause the tenth of the structures destroyed or 10 percent mortality of the population? Modern Jerusalem holds a little more than 800,000. Does that mean 80,000 will die or 10% destruction of the real estate? Nonetheless, the temblor will turn them around. Unfortunately, there will not be another Jehoshaphat to cancel JHVH’s judgment (2 Chronicles 20:17).

Good point. I hold to the opinion that the seals and trumpets run concurrent, so that would definately help to usher in the order of the antichrist, if the 6th seal and 6th trumpet sounded at once.
