Emma Anderson was kicked off of the Miami Metrorail train system after she was reprimanded for singing gospel music, yet refused to stop. The 82-year-old was booted off of the public transportation system by a security guard who reportedly wasn’t too gentle in his quest to remove her.

According to The Huffington Post, the guard approached the woman as she was singing and said, ”Let’s go. You’re getting off here.” As he picked up her suitcase, she protested and held tightly onto her bag.

In the end, because of Anderson’s refusal to let go, she fell off of the train and landed on the platform. She yelled, “Help!” as the guard expelled her from the cart. Passengers were horrified, with some calling for the official’s name and proclaiming that his actions were inappropriate.

The bizarre and tragic encounter, as reported by WSVN-TV, unfolded on Feb. 20. The outlet describes the incident as follows, “Anderson’s efforts were no match for the guard’s strength as she was dragged toward the exit. It was at this point, once the guard had forced Anderson off the train and onto the platform, that she fell down.”
