The new age movement is back in the news, and at the top of Christian conversations.  Rob Bell and Rick Warren have started their big push for Revival.  I thought I’d write a bit on my testimony.  You see I was a new ager all the way.  Like Rob Bell, I grew up in a very strict evangelical home.  I grew bitter and suspicious of anything connected to God.  When I entered the world on my own, I spent years running from God, and sinning about as much as I could.  God’s grace kept me during this dark period.

I said “My God wouldn’t judge, or punish, or send anyone to Hell.”  “We’re all going to heaven.”  ( And that’s very dangerous, as it takes away the fear of God.)   All religions are good, they all worship the same God, they just worship in different ways.  Boy I swallowed that hook, line and sinker.  Now looking back, I know that I did that to excuse the un-repented sin in my life.  And I couldn’t do the things I was doing, if I repented.  So, I said all those evil Christians are lying, they’re just trying to scare people.  I read every book I could get my hands on, I read a book by a woman who claimed a near death experience and came back with a message from Jesus.  This message was given in a couple books, but the short version is Jesus loves us all and there is more love there in Heaven, with Jesus, than we know.  Everyone is going to heaven.  She said we were all spirits at one time, who knew each other in the spirit world, and we agreed to come to earth to live a human life.  We agreed we would help each other here, our families, everyone we come in contact with are spirits that we knew in heaven.  Now that I have come back to God, I realize how stupid this is, but it’s really out there, and there are really people that believe this!

There are people who have been hurt as I was by ‘religous’ people, so these run to Bell, and Warren and the rest for the same reason I did.  Instead of confronting what happened to them, confronting God, and finding out what really is helpful, they believe that God is a big teddy bear who loves everyone, and there is no fear , and no one is going to Hell, except of course the evil Christians.

Thank God He reached down and jerked me back!  I set out several years ago, to study the Bible again, and this time I was going to prove the New Agers right, and the Christians wrong.  Well, HELLO!  The word of God opened up to me like never before, and after about 1 year, I was on my knees begging God for forgiveness.  I feel like I’ve wasted my life, so now I’ve devoted it to warning and trying to help someone else come back from the brink.  But these people don’t give up their new feel good, everybody goes to heaven, teachings so easy.  That’s where we all come in.  Out testimony has to reach these people.  Bell say’s that in the end God will win everyone over and everybody will go to heaven.   Jesus tells us clearly “Not everyone who say’s Lord, Lord will enter in.”  He also say’s ‘the path is wide that leads to destruction, and narrow is the path to righteousness.’

I’m going to end with this video, it’s the best one that describes the roots of the New Age teaching that is invading our lives, our churches and our communities.  It’s Oprah, but she describes this belief perfect.  Watch and pray for these people, so that they will not be able to lead any more to destruction.  Pray that God will expose those like Rob Bell, Rick Warren, Joel Osteen and others so that His people will not perish.  God say’s my people perish  for a lack of knowledge.  So before I get the hate mail, forget it, I lived the life of New Age, and I came back to God.  You can’t say anything new to me, I’ve heard it all.  I BELIEVE GOD’S WORD!  And you should too.

Now watch this it’s one of the New Age Books, that replaced the Bible for me, in fact it became my Bible.  It’s the woman I spoke of above, it’s her talking about one of her books.  Listen closely and you will see that her experience and message is not from Jesus or God.  Please be careful watching these videos because the satanic power is great, don’t let it pull you in.  Our Lord & Savior indeed loves us, but this is from Satan!

Just in case your wondering, if you have gifts like discernment, God removes these from you when you decide to follow this teaching.  I know.  It happened to me.  I just want to say one more time, don’t fall for this, if any church or pastor or another Christian talks like this, run!  Run to the Bible, God’s word never fails, it’s always true.  Jesus said, ‘Heaven and earth will die, but my words will never die!’
