By David French: Abortion advocates simply can’t help themselves – the truth eventually comes out. As Matt Clark highlighted, Planned Parenthood’s lobbyist actually argued last week for the right to kill a baby born alive after a botched abortion. In other words, whether that baby lived or died depended on the whim the mother and her abortionist.
Stunning.
Then today on Jay’s radio show a caller argued that abortion was necessary to save the economy from more unemployed workers. But he didn’t stop there. As he grew increasingly agitated, he demanded to know whether anyone at ACLJ had adopted “colored” babies.

Lest anyone think this person was an extremist outlier – and abortion advocates are really tolerant people who simply disagree about when life truly begins – I’d refer you to the clearly racist eugenic history of Planned Parenthood, as well as the present location of their clinics – with theoverwhelming majority targeting black and Hispanic populations. The results are simply devastating for minority families.
On a personal note, I’m an adoptive father, and during the adoption process I became aware of the staggering number of families seeking to adopt, families that are sometimes desperate to bring a child into their home. And modern adoptions are colorblind on a vast scale. In my own church our children’s ministry is a veritable rainbow coalition of adopted kids – from Africa, from Asia, from Latin America. My own adopted daughter is from Ethiopia.
The adoption process is a challenge, but it is God-blessed in a unique way. Our Naomi is a precious gift. It is simply heartbreaking to realize that families are deprived of that joy – of that blessing – because children are intentionally killed in the womb.
The true colors are showing; the mask is slipping. The abortion-rights movement in this country was born in racism, endures through racism, and revels in its lack of regard for human life.
