We Will Be Judged For Our Disbelief

I grew up in a Christian home with God fearing parents.  As I look back into my childhood, I have memories of church, memories of activities with our youth group and other churches.  Maybe I was just very naive, although I don’t think so, because I ran amok in the world when I got out on my own.  Anyway, church was sacred.  All the denominations were sacred.  There was very little in the world that disturbed this.  Of course there were other religions like Buddism, Hinduism, and paganism, but they were not an immediate threat to Christianity.  We had freedom of religion, we could still say a prayer before our basketball, football, soccer games at school.  We still could talk about Jesus in the classroom.  We could still say in Jesus’s name after a prayer in public.

All I can say is WOW!  How things have changed.  I know every generation say’s this.  But I think our generation has seen the most change.  Abortion is now legal, and funded by the government, Gay’s can now marry, and homosexuality is taught in our schools.  We can’t pray at all anymore in school even at a graduation ceremony.  You can’t mention Jesus’s name in public, without being called a racist.  Instead of fear of God our president say’s the Apostle Paul was a bigot, and he mocks Jesus’s sermon on the mount, calling it radical, he mocks the old testament law’s.  Wants social justice, and redistribution of wealth.

The churches are all eeeerily silent on all these issues.  They have been diluted with a different doctrine.  Most have taken down their crosses, their vestibule’s looks like the local coffee house.  They refuse to teach about sin, they refuse to teach about fear of God, they refuse to teach the book of Revelation.  They say they don’t want to scare people.  HELLO!  These are the same people who watch movies about vampires, zombies and all sorts of death and destruction, but they don’t want to scare people?  Our youth are hungry for God’s word.  And they are being turned away starving for knowledge.  I’ve witnessed this, some are even turning to cults and satan worship because they are taught power.  Minister’s say we have to worry about saving lives and not all that other stuff.  I would like to ask them ‘How many lives do you save every day?’  The version of Christianity they teach is a watered down version of the Gospel and it’s wrong.

I was reading the book of Jude and it hit me, never before have I seen the things that the early Apostles saw, until now that is.  Jude, Peter and Paul all wrote about a godless man.  Jude warned that these men would make their way into the middle of the church secretly and cause division.  He said they are godless men, who change the grace of God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign  Lord.  Now Jude was a brother of Jesus.  Do you really think he would teach that Jesus was the Messiah and the Sovereign Lord if he wasn’t?   He warns that God delivered His people from Egypt but later destroyed those who didn’t believe.  Remember when the ground opened up and swallowed them for their dis-belief?  You can read about it in Exodus.   Jude say’s even the fallen angels  have been bound in darkness, with everlasting chains for judgment.  He also say’s that Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.  And that they should serve as an example to all, but we seem to have forgotten that example.  Do you really think that God won’t judge us?  As he did them?  Jude say’s these men will deny that Jesus is the Christ, they will take the way of Cain.  He say’s they will be cloud’s without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted–twice dead.  They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.  Jude say’s ‘See the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his Holy ones to judge everyone and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

Now Jude say’s to keep ourselves in God’s love as we wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring us eternal life.  We will be judged as a nation, as a people, that you can bank on.  But Jude say’s to keep ourselves in God’s love, and Christ’s mercy will bring us into the kingdom.  Pray for those who can’t see or won’t see the truth.  And I leave you with Jude’s word’s:

‘Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear–hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

He’s Coming, He’s Close, Can You Feel Him?
