Why Does Jeremiah 5 & Revelation 10 Keep Applying To Today?

I’ve posted on this before, and I can’t stress it enough.  Jeremiah warns in chapter 5 first “If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.  Then he say’s ‘O lord, do not your eyes look for truth?  You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction, they made their faces harder than stone and refuse to repent.   I thought, these are only the poor; they are foolish, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.’   Then he say’s something utterly amazing that more than applies to today, and Revelation 10.  A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land:  The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it, this way.  But what will you do in the end?’

How true is this for today, many, many things are happening today that is false teaching and tearing apart the doctrine of Christ.  And God’s commandments.  Look at the recent election.  Many millions of Christians voted for a man who pushes abortion, and gay marriage. Among other things that go against God.  And they justify it!  I know, I’ve heard it from many.  They say, ‘Oh he doesn’t believe that, or oh they don’t really do that.’  The blood of innocents is on their hands, and still they don’t repent.  Their silence and falling away has helped to bring about prophecy.  The leader of this country stood and invoked a blessing from a god unknown to us, for the practice of murdering infants.  Our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, say’s ‘Thou shall not Kill.’  Was this the god of Molech that he invoked the blessing from?  I’m afraid so.  Satan has infiltrated every aspect of our lives and governments, and most refuse to see.  God warns of bowing the knee to Baal.  But few heed the warning.

Revelation 10 speaks of the angel with one foot on the land and one on the sea, who commands John to eat the scroll, and it tastes sweet in his mouth, but turns bitter in his stomach.  This is the same thing.  The sweetness is the Gospel, the bitterness is the false gospel that is being spread throughout the land.  Just take a look at the denominations and pastors who are following headlong with this president, and false god.  It’s not hard to see.  Even if they don’t tout him as wonderful, mighty, counselor (which by the way if you don’t know, is titles for our God, our Lord and Savior, Jesus, not obama)  their silence is the sin of omission.

How much longer will God ignore the cry of blood in the land?  How much longer will He ignore the silence of His people.  How much longer will he wait for us to turn to him in repentance?    I fear the next from Revelation 10 has been shouted by the Angel.  ‘Let there be no more delay!’  Now is the time to answer Jeremiah’s question:  ‘What will you do in the end?‘  Will you turn away from false teaching, and turn to God or will you continue down the wide path that leads to destruction?  I don’t think we can turn these events around, but I do think that we need to prepare spiritually for what’s coming.

He’s coming, He’s close, Can you feel Him?

  1. I truly can feel the imminent return of Christ. Everything in my spirit is aware of the fact that our Blessed Hope is soon to come for us! I remember how Jesus told his disciples that small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life and FEW find it. More are going to be in hell than in heaven because most are turning to their own way. The ways of God mean nothing to most.

Our God will not tolerate this increasing evil much longer. He has given this world every sign and wonder and yet they refuse to see that they might repent and be saved. Believers who understand the times know that God has the plan in motion. He will not delay. The Lion of Judah has mounted his horse and is at the gate. Who will be ready?
