TheWeatherSpace.com Senior Meteorologist Kevin Martin is warning everyone within the danger zone to get to a spot that requires you to be underground if you need it.
“Today is one of those days that could produce tornadoes that are the type that you cannot survive even at the center of your house and away from windows,” said Martin. “The danger zone is directly east of the dryline from Oklahoma City to the Texas border. This is going to be a very dangerous setup.”
Martin issued the enhanced tornado watch at 12:05 pm and it is in effect through the evening hours. Storms are expected to develop later than usual.
“The dryline is the focus spot right now,” said Martin. This is easily seen in Western Oklahoma this evening and early tonight. A cap is in place at the moment and as the afternoon goes on, surface heating will boil the low levels containing the moisture and after that lid, or cap breaks … explosive thunderstorm development will happen.”

  1. At this point one can only pray God shows his mercy in the midst of all this turmoil the state has endured in the last week.May many broken hearts that have lost so much realize that God is their only hope!He is the potter and we the clay, may the people be molded into vessels for the kingdom.
