‘Why Doesn’t God Do Something To Interrupt Them’

Trunews

Early this morning at home I went outside on the patio to eat breakfast. I opened my Bible at the same time Susan came out of the house to sit with me. She asked me if I heard about Eric Hovind leaping onto top of the atheist monument on Saturday to proclaim Jesus’ name. As we talked about America’s rapid descent into paganism, Susan asked me why God doesn’t do something to interrupt them. I said, “He’s been speaking to this nation for decades, but both the Church and the unbelievers have ignored the warnings and signs. The country has slid so far into rebellion at this point that even if Noah was here preaching the people wouldn’t listen. I looked down at my bible on the patio table and was staring at Ezekiel 14. “Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it…Even if these three men – Noah, Daniel, and Job – were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” says the Lord God….Rick

This was on facebook from Rick Wiles facebook page.  I thought it was so true and appropriate.  Many of us are asking why doesn’t God do something, why don’t we do something instead of just telling what’s wrong.  But Rick is right.  The Lord has been speaking and warning for decades.  But the Nation refuses to listen.  We remain silent,  everyone is so involved in what they are doing and in worldly things that we have quit talking to God.  We have quit listening to God.  There is something we can do.  We can do  what the Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 :10-19

 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

  1. It used to be a nice homey place to live in america….But now we need to suit up as paul says and not steer away from the only hope we have as a nation….Put on the full armour of God and go to battle with the spiritual enemy that has been among us since the beginning….Satan the big deceiver and Father of Lies…..This is not time to sit and wonder what to do …………………. Time to shut down the wrong so what’s right can shine forth!
