CBN News – “Syrian Christians are asking why the United States supports extremists who want to turn Syria into an Islamic state.
That testimony came during a congressional hearing on Syria’s religious minorities Tuesday.
Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., who chairs the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights, called on President Barack Obama to defend the rights of Syrian Christians.
In an opening statement at Tuesday’s hearing, Smith said statistics show ‘that Christians are even more fearful for their lives and safety than other segments of the Syrian population.’
Nina Shea, director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, testified that Islamic insurgents are targeting Christians for ‘ethno-religious cleansing.’
Christian Solidarity International CEO Dr. John Eibner, who also testified at the hearing, said displaced Christians are asking him, ‘Why is the U.S. at war against us?'” Read more

what can we do? i really don’t know if there are any ways to help like giving donations or talking to public to people who want to adopt children to adopt children from Syria…it sucks feeling so helpless…

I know, short of calling and writing you senators and representatives to let them know that arming the rebels are unacceptable while they remain silent about this. I’ve read articles where all they want is our prayers. Continue to pray. Pray for god to bind those responsible for this behavior. Pray for protection. Pray for courage and strength.
