“When I remember thee upon my bed,and meditate on thee in the night watches”.(Psalms 63:6).
It is the middle of the night and we have wound down from the trials of the day…………It is then we look to meditate on his word.”I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel:my reins also instruct me in the night seasons”(Psalm 16:7).
We are told to meditate on the word:
TO MEDITATE IS TO :Ponder ones thoughts—To Reflect on—To Think and Rethink a matter……………….
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord;and in his law doth he meditate day and night”.(Psalms 1:1,2).
Jesus even had the night watch in his life, for it was in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto his disciples walking on the sea.(Matthew 14:25).
The next time you awake through the night,it just may be a time well spent with the Lord!
It is written:”But,Beloved,be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”.(2 Peter 3:8).God’s timeline is more infinate than ours…………………………”For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night”.(Psalm 90:4).

Recently I have been waking up around 4-4:30 am and have been wondering if it was The Lord waking me up. This encourages me next time to seek God during these late night appointments.
