Ann, there is a great falling away in the Body of Christ. There are many false teachers and sheperds that are leading their flock astray. Most protestants that I have come in contact with do not deny Jesus’s Deity, but if they do they are not true believers or of the body of Christ. John gives a clear teaching on how to tell if a ‘spirit’ is from God. 1John 4:1 ‘Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.’ Many who do not truly know Christ, interpret this to mean that as long as we say Jesus was sent by God, we’re ok, like the muslims. This is not right. John goes on to say the one in us is greater than the one in the world, and that those that teach that Christ is not from God, or God’s son is from the world. So they speak the viewpoint of the world. The apostle John spent his time proving the Deity of Christ. The apostle Paul warns of believing a man or angel that teaches a different doctrine than the ones the Apostles taught. This gives us a clear warning, and it amazes me that so many like the mormon church for example and others who claim to have a prophet that reveals different doctrine are so popular. Maybe it’s because Christians don’t read the Bible or God’s word, like they should they rely on others to tell them. This is a dangerous practice. Everyone should be studying and reading their Bibles. Eternal life or eternal damnation is too important to leave it only to a man, or a church. Jesus speaks to each and every one of us through His words. Jesus said, ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will live forever. I would say to anyone who is attending a church that denies the Deity of Christ, to leave that church, and seek one that follows God’s word. God Bless you Ann!
I’ve even heard some protestants claiming Jesus was only a prophet but no Son of God?What’s up with that?
