My comment:  Welcome to the real world!  But this is a turn of events, what? No hope and change?  Remember the protests by SEIU 3 years ago, there was even a beating that took place by members of the SEIU.(Watch here)  Now they realize that wait, this is not a good thing.  We tried to warn, but, well, watch this video and hear it in obama’s own words.  ‘He’s spent his whole entire life working with SEIU.’ Wonder if they are feeling a little used?  Pardon me while I laugh so hard I can’t see. This is not funny, look what they have done, look what they have created.

(Washington Examiner)  Members of the Chicago-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance.

The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law.

Tyler French, Local 1’s organizing director, told Mediatrackers Ohio the company claimed it had to cut its employees’ hours due to Obamacare mandates.

French did not believe the explanation, though, calling it the “latest excuse in a long line of many that we’ve seen from corporate America.”

But others throughout the organized labor movement have warned that such actions will be a direct consequence of the President Obama’s health care law.

At the AFL-CIO’s convention in Los Angeles earlier this month, Loretta Johnson, secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Teachers, said it was already happening in her union.

“We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job,” Johnson said. The AFL-CIO passed a resolution demanding either Congress or Obama fix the law to stop it from hurting union members.

  2. Ha, ha, ha, If I weren’t a believer I would use language not appropriate for children! You are so spot on in this article. They cut me to friggin’ 25 hrs. a week. How the *#*# can I pay rent, basic bills, and food, let’s not forget car, car insurance…..list goes on. Thank God He provides and has grace and mercy in abundance. The best answer is continual prayer, w/o seizing! And there’s the SNAP program is going to get cut/lowered on folks who get it;….This has become a testy issue in churches now. Pastors are on both sides of the fence on this one. Some preach if you don’t work then you don’t eat/ others say it ok if a believer needs help temporarily. Then you have all the wonderful ministries who help with food to the poor and needy and they are being dogged by government now if their program has any government funded assistance(like the Cheese Program). The government claim separation of church and state: if your church receives said gov. assistance you can’t hand out bibles, tracts, share the Gospel, religious fixtures, etc…I’m sure you get the picture. Rome fell from w/i so goes America! Sad but true. History repeats itself again and as Solomon said, “there’s nothing new under the sun..”(paraphrased). It’s late and I just got in from work and I’m sore and tired. God bless all.

    • You are absolutely spot on. This was meant to make everyone dependent on the government. It will totally destroy what’s left of the middle class, and in the process destroy America and it’s small business. Everyone will have to work 2-3 jobs just to have the hours they had at one job. There is no such thing as full time employment anymore. Just what they set out to do. They have the churches right where they want them. Sad very sad. I am praying for you sister. May God open doors for you and bless you abundantly.
