Not A Rapture Theory
People are so aware of the Lord returning in the clouds of a rapture theory they are missing out on all the other passages Jesus comes in the clouds and it is for the Day Of The Lord when he returns to set up his kingdom here on earth once and for all.
Daniel was given such a vision of the Lords return in the clouds to set up his dominion and kingdom here. “I saw in the night visions,and,behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion,and glory,and a kingdom,that all people,nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed”.(Daniel 7:13,14).
When the disciples asked Jesus how will it be at his return he didn’t hesitate to tell them that it is AFTER THE TRIBULATION does he come in the clouds with power and great glory just as told in Daniel’s vision. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other”.(Matthew 24:29-31).
God’s people will then be changed from flesh bodies (Terrestrial) and into Spiritual bodies (Celestial),but we will not prevent those who have lived for Christ in their day’s and have died (Are Asleep). “There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”.(1 Corinthians 15:40,49-52).
Notice how the previous passage sounds an awful lot like the rapture theory taken from 1 Thessalonians ………..But shows how it is the DAY OF THE LORD when he returns at the last trump and Christ comes to the earth to set up his dominion.Now when we reread the 1 Thessalonian passage it is better explained with Daniels vision of christ’s return. “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep (dead). For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall arise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words”.
(1 Thessalonians 4:15-18).
The day of the Lord will be a very dark day and many will be purified and tested. The wicked will do wickedly,but will not understand for only the wise will understand. “And I heard,but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried, but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand”.(Daniel 12:8-10).
The rapture theory does not stand with all these passages of Jesus returning in the clouds AFTER the tribulation and the last trump,for this theory tells the elect are gathered and taken out of the world before the return of Christ and this would show favoritism which God says he is not a respecter of persons and that ALL will see him when he returns,even those who pierced him!
BEHOLD, HE COMETH WITH CLOUDS; AND EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM, AND THEY ALSO WHICH PIERCED HIM: AND ALL KINDREDS OF THE EARTH SHALL WAIL BECAUSE OF HIM. EVEN SO, AMEN. Revelation 1:7.
Jesus is only returning once and we need to be ready,or he will be to us as a thief in the night!

Interesting that ‘that Day’ comes when people are saying ‘peace and safety’. There is a huge difference between “peace and safety” and “wars and rumors of wars”. Currently the whole world is feeling the birth pains, if anyone is saying this is a time of ‘peace and safety’, it appears to me that they are willingly ignorant. Today Israel is says Iran is only 1 month away from having the enriched uranium to be a real threat, and Turkey is well on their way in the nuclear arena as well. No one says peace and safety before the battle, but after the battle is over… Matt. 24:29-31, “Immediately after the tribulation… “, that is, after the wars and rumors of them.

I Am Not Ashamed………..Your comment shows you understand the danger of believing in a theory that will take people out before the tribulation and this is why I needed to post this in Jesus own words that he will return AFTER the tribulation and not before.(Matthew 24:29-31).I believed the rapture theory too for many years and it was a comfort till I read that passage.God Bless You.

Thank you Julia, this is such an important message, one that comes under constant attack, and if unheeded will catch so many unaware, just as Jesus warned. Instead of a lacadasical attitude of ‘Well I won’t be here to see any of that.’ It should give us renewed energy, and strength to bring all into the fold, for the harvest is near. Thanks again.
