Tens of thousands of Iranians have held the biggest rally in years in front of the former US embassy in Tehran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 siege after the Islamic Revolution. The protesters chanted ‘death to America’ in an apparent backlash to warming relations with the United States spearheaded by Iran’s president.
