When God calls a person to the service of his kingdom, it is an honor to do what he asks of us. “That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us,ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe”.(1 Thessalonians 2:12,13).
When we come to the end of ourselves by trying desperately to solve our own problems and not rely solely on God, nothing works out no matter how hard we try. It is when we turn to the Living God in the lowest times of our life and are as alone as in a wilderness. “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?”.(Isaiah 43:7,10-13).
We are called to holiness and when we are born again the Holy Spirit that we receive causes us to no longer speak as the world does for the former life we live is now over and are changed into a vessel for the service of the Lord.We now speak the words God places within our hearts and minds. “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you”.(1 Peter 1:15-20).
The Holy Spirit keeps us in remembrance for the service of God, and it is a high calling to of been chosen to do the will of our Father in heaven. May we be found worthy in fulfilling the call most important that not many are chosen for, because many are called but few are chosen. “I press toward the mark for the prize (gift) of the high calling of God in jesus Christ. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you”.
(Philippians 3:14,15)………(Matthew 20:16).

Not Ashamed……….What a wonderful Testimony of what God does in our life when we answer the call to be obedient and serve him.It truly is a miraculous life that sometimes those around you will not understand, but I feel are part of his plan to see just how he works in the life of the Believer. I came to Christ as Samuel did, I was laying in bed and heard the most beautiful voice say my name so I got out of bed and thought I must have company and looked out for a car in the driveway and nothing so I went back to bed and the very next morning heard that beautiful voice again only to get out of bed and see no one at the door. I’ll never forget that morning as I always open the bible and start reading where I turned to and this particular morning I opened to 1 Samuel Chapter 3 and just sat and cried! from that day forward I have seen miracles and the peace that passes all understanding that you mentioned has not left me to this day. God is Faithful who promised and goes before his people.God Bless You Sister.

God Bless you sister. How beautiful, and I wonder how many dismiss the voice that we’ve heeded. Evidently 1Samuel has much to teach us! As I have been guided there as of late also. God is speaking to His children, and He is calling them. I pray more will heed this call. If you seek Him with all your Heart and all Your soul, you will find him, and I urge those seeking that like Samuel the next time God call’s your name simply say ‘Yes Lord.’ You will be amazed.

Amen Julia! I reached the low point in my life about 5 years ago. My theme was ‘I did it my way.’ I’ll never forget, I was crushed, nothing I did seemed to be right. I finally fell to my knees one day crying and said ‘Ok, I’ll do it your way, if you want me to walk this path, I will but you will have to go before me.’ I had an immediate peace, it took a while but things started to change in my life, and in me, the way I thought, the way I prayed. I felt such a presence as never before. I took several leaps of faith, and He didn’t fail on His promise to go before me. The latest one being this blog. The Spirit came down and filled me with a peace that only comes from Him. He has since given me many blessings and miracles, in my life, it hasn’t been easy but it has been interesting. When He speaks we are to listen and obey. He will fill you with a presence that I’m sure the disciples were just as shocked to see on the day of Pentecost. It is something you will never forget. But you must agree to come into obedience even if we don’t understand our calling. We can’t do it our way! It has to be His way. Bless you Julia.
